I was surprised when looking at Wesley Clarke's stances...
I figured he was just another upper crust military guy but was pretty surprised.
Take a look if you haven't already.

1. That's a good site, thanks
I think I'll check out all the candidates on that site when I get the time.

4. What the hell?
Different kind of Democrat-without strong partisanship
Clark portrayed himself as a different kind of Democrat, one without strong partisan impulses. He said he "probably" voted for Richard M. Nixon in 1972 and backed Ronald Reagan. He did not start considering himself a Democrat until 1992, when he backed fellow Arkansan Bill Clinton. "He moved me," Clark said. "I didn't consider it party, I considered I was voting for the man." Clark said the country "will not function well" with one party controlling the White House and Congress.

I know the arguments have gone back and forward about whether Clark is really a Democrat, but this quote seems to say it all. Assuming that he is not being misquoted, less than two weeks ago, Clark is quoted as saying he is a different kind of Democrat without strong partisanship?

And I have seen the defence that he voted for Clinton, but he is directly quoted here as saying that he DID vote for Clinton, but he voted for the man NOT the party.

And yet we are not allowed to question his loyalty to Dems?

Vote NO on the new rules!

5. Hey, if he wins the nomination we will have the choice
of our republican or their republican.

6. I hope that Clark is loyal to the American people,
as a Democratic President.
More non-partisanship would be a blessing in the United States.
IMHO.

7. Hope is a good thing to have, but NOT a good thing to rely on!
I mean I HOPED George Bush wouldn't fuck up the world when he was made president, but that didn't help a lot, did it?

Look, nobody is questioning whether Clark may be a Green, the problem is he may be a neo-con like Bush, only smarter. Do you REALLY want to just HOPE he isn't? Do you REALLY want to take that risk?

8. i want a PARTISAN president
we've had 4 years of the most PARTISAN repub president, and the most PARTISAN repub congress that i can remember. now we need a PARTISAN dem in the white house to correct the excesses of the PARTISAN repub congress. a non-partisan approach will simply encourage more extremism from the repubs. it's time to pull back our country from the repubs WITH BOTH HANDS, not just with one hand.

non-partisanship only works when BOTH sides embrace it. Clark's advocacy of a non-partisan approach only shows how naive he is about electoral politics.

9. Non partisan is a nicer way of saying... not on your side.

Or in other words... Clark only has one side, his own.

He's looking out for number one.

Sorry Clark but I WANT a partisan democrat... I want someone who is not afraid to say they are a democrat... not someone who only registered 2 f-ing weeks ago when he got done fundraising for republicans and praising the PNAC crew.
