1. FBI has been ordered to investigate - so email to preserve evidence
e-mail to White House staff Tuesday from counsel Alberto R. Gonzales about the Justice Department's investigation about the leak of a CIA officer's identity:

PLEASE READ: Important Message From Counsel's Office
We were informed last evening by the Department of Justice that it has opened an investigation into possible unauthorized disclosures concerning the identity of an undercover CIA employee. The department advised us that it will be sending a letter today instructing us to preserve all materials that might be relevant to its investigation. Its letter will provide more specific instructions on the materials in which it is interested, and we will communicate those instructions directly to you. In the meantime, you must preserve all materials that might in any way be related to the department's investigation. Any questions concerning this request should be directed to Associate Counsels Ted Ullyot or Raul Yanes in the counsel to the president's office. The president has directed full cooperation with this investigation.

I dont get it - would you please substantiate? How did you get "Looks like they now have choosen who will fall on the sword for this" from http://talkingpointsmemo.com/">This:

The following notice was sent to all White House employees:

For the White House's defenders in the press, it looks like that 'she wasn't undercover' line is no longer operative ...

5. Must have choosen who will fall on sword for this
Because just like with SOTU speech, pResident did not start taking responsibility or saying I will find out why this was in the speech for days after the story broke. Then Tenant then an aide, take full responsibility.

Now, no action or reponse since July when this first broke, or over the week-end when investigation was announced on Friday. First pick the fall guy, then fake full cooperation and accountability.

7. The CIA request to DOJ was sent three weeks ago
according to news reports. Yet when Rice and McClellan were interviewed Sunday and Monday, they both professed "total ignorance" about the issue. No one has called us about it, they said.

Three weeks. DOJ sat on this request for three weeks and hadn't even put in a call to the White House.

That should tell us how seriously the DOJ is taking this.
