Graham dropping out?
Anybody hear anything about this? On one of my Dem Florida groups they're talking about it...

My bet is that his supporters will go to Clark, Kerry, Gephardt, maybe even Kuchinich, Braun.

1. This all started when he said he would not make fundraising goal
Here is another discussion about it in Politics and Campaigns

The question seems to be is he going to run again for the Senate?

10. Don't know if I want him as VP
He's already 66 years old, which is fine if he's running for president. But I want a Vice President that will be ready to run for president 8 years later. I'd rather see him run again for his senate seat because we're going to need him in there fighting to get the truth out.

Graham is the best when it comes to intelligence, let's find him a place where we can use the knowledge that he has. This is no disrespect for Bob Graham, I'm a big admirer of his and I hate to see him drop out already!

11. That would only make him 74 or 75 -
haven't you seen Senator Byrd? : -)

3. I hate to see him go
he had many important things to say and I just like the guy so much too. He seems like such a good man.

I think the only reason he didn't catch fire is because he is so nice. I don't mean he should have been a raving screaming jerk or anything like that. I think people just saw him more as the kindly and good grandfather type than presidential.

4. Probably
I like the guy, too. Honestly, he doesn't strike me as being quite "tough" enough for the job in some way. I went to Iowa, and saw dozens of signs along the way to the event. Lots for Dean, Kerry, Gep, and Edwards, a couple for DK, a few for Sharpton, I think I even saw a couple for Braun, and a lonely single sign for Graham.
I was glad and sad to see it. Glad just to see some kind of something there for him. Sad that it look so lonely by itself. Mind you, I didn't get very far into the event because of complications with the mud. But, I am guessing that that is probably representative of what might have been there.
But, the person I was with had no idea who he is. THAT, I thought was a terrible shame. The bottom line is, it doesn't seem to be a very productive presidential run. He isn't being heard. He does a fantastic job in the senate, though and I hope we get him back!

5. *sigh* I hate this, I really do.
Graham really grabbed me in the last debate, and I was hoping he'd at least make it to January. I'm still hoping, but a little less optimistic about that.

Solely my opinion- I think Graham and Braun both have that kind quality and haven't shown a whole lot of the hardened edge a President would need from time to time. That is NOT an insult to either of them! If anything I view them as invaluable to the debates, and to our national consience.

6. I hope not
while I'm not a supporter of his (I'm an Edwards guy), I do enjoy hearing a crafty experienced statesman speak extemporaneously.

Not many of these guys left anymore and the younger ones coming up simply are not as good.

Good luck to you Graham whichever road you follow !

8. If he does
I hope he runs for re-election to the Senate! We NEED people of intelligence, wisdom, character and courage there of the sort he has. :)

12. I'm not too pleased with Bill Nelson.
I voted for him and I would again against a Republican, but I'd rather have a more liberal Democrat than him. He has been a disappointment to me.
