"embolden the terrorists"

I'm so tired of this phrase. Is there anything that can "embolden the terrorists" any more than what this administration has been doing?

If the Bush Administration is so good at understanding the thoughts of terrorists why can't they defeat them?

But Bush gets away with same kindergarten level crap like "they hate us for our freedoms"...

the only people who like them are those who lack the IQ to come up with them on their own (freepers and fundies), and the TV talking heads who are trying to appeal to aforementioned douche-bags. The rest of us are stuck with ear-worms of repuke drivel for days on end!!!
"Fair up or down vote"
"Freedom is on the march"
"We're turning a corner" (or the variant "We've turned that corner")
and now..."embolden the terrorists"

I always think of that made up word on The Simpsons: "embiggens" :D

I don't know why ... probably because "embolden the terrorists" sounds like such a bullshit phrase. :P
