"Do not call" list: The Big Distraction
We have what might possibly be the next Watergate happen right under the media's noses, and what is gatting covered most in the news?

That stupid "do not call" list. Okay, yep, great idea. Sure, but what the hell! Is THAT more important than Traitorgate? Is the "DNC" (gasp! could that be a coincidence!?!) list this year's "Shark Attack" story? I can't turn on NPR or the national TV news without hearing two or three stories about it.

Man, either the entire media is in painful denial or people must REALLY hate telemarketers! So do I, but I know what my priorities are.

"Do not pay attention" to the "Do not call" list story! Hell, we all know how it'll end, anyways: the phone, telecom, etc. multinatioanls will ge their way and all sorts of lobbyists and politicians will get fat and rich off of the profits. That ain't news!

2. Actually the bigger story is in the Senate
whether Congress just rubberstamps what this
administration wants to do and spend in Iraq...and
that new business that Joe Albaugh is head of
is a big story but is being overshadowed
by this leak stuff.
This leak happened over 75 days ago....just
now coming to a press head.

3. To be fair....
... as much as I love bashing NPR, traitorgate was one of the lead-in stories on All Things Considered.

They did a passable job on it, I'd give them a "C".

4. Worry not! The phone story will not last out the week.
Once it's resolved, it's over. Wilsongate will never be over. At least while there is a bush in the WH!

THIS scandal is the ONE!!! Bank on it.

5. WAKE THE F*** UP DUers
The "do not call" thing is a SCAM and I am VERY surprised how many DUers bought such utter crap from the BUSH MISADMINISTRATION. Don't you f***ing GET IT? If REPUGS are for it, it is NOT in your best interests. You can almost ALWAYS count on THAT.

6. Well, to be realistic it really -is- a big deal to a lot of people. That
said, I don't think it's overwhelming the Wilsongate caper all that much. For sure not on the news media today at least...
