Republicans block efforts to amendment relief bill

http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Republicans_block_efforts_to_amendment_relief_bill_vote_without_c_0907.html

In the wake of what the Wall Street Journal projected may be the most expensive natural disaster in American history, the Republican Leadership in the House of Representatives limited floor consideration of the $52 billion Katrina relief bill proposed by President Bush and voted to reject any Democratic efforts to amend the bill to include a wider array of relief measures, RAW STORY has learned.

Democrats said no one had even seen a copy of the legislation.

Voting along party lines, Republicans denied a measure that would have allowed for two hours of discussion and opened up the measure to be amended.

1. Hint @2,304,567 that The Democrats need to vote EVERYTHING down
No bills should have ANY Democrat voting for them until we take DC back in the 2006 elections.

Game's on. And the Repug game will soon be over.

Shut the muthuhfuckuh down.

2. Oh God,
what was in this legislation that they didn't even let anyone see or review it?

Democrats said no one had even seen a copy of the legislation.

4. Two thoughts come immediately to mind
As usual he says one thing and lets his party do the actual dirty work. And, THEY want to be able to say they appropriated relief money while the dems twittered and politicized.

5. Up to about $63 billion now...
and they're going to give each refugee family a $2000 debit card. I figure that will take about half a billion or so. Which leaves $62.5 billion for Kellog Brown & Root, and their other close friends. And you just know they will NEED another $80 billion or so in a couple of months.
