We've become a society of victims. Raped by energy costs.

How long are we going to put up with it? How long are we going to allow our politicians (of both parties) sit around and masturbate and push for "privitization" and avoid the inevitability of doing something to prevent the gouging of this most basic of needs.

Don't babble about long term solutions like conservation, alternative energy, etc. Those are necessary and desirable for the long run. BUT WE ARE BEING F***ED NOW!!!

We have to stop allowing the free market to ream us this way.

Yes this is just a rant. But I am worried about what this winter will bring. And I am, angry at a political class that doesn't give two shits about these issues that screw the common people.

1. The upcoming winter heating season will be a nightmare for many.
And this administration couldn't care less. The only thing that gets their attention is real bad poll numbers (Iraq, economy, astronomical fuel prices) and the threat of party members losing their seats.

They are crack whores who care only about themselves.

2. The rest of our lives...
we have waited so long to solve our basic long range problems with energy that it is going to be almost impossible to catch up and create something that, one, won't kill us and, two, will be clean less expensive.:banghead:

the BFEE, big corporations, etc.

And the "we" in this case is the big all-encompassing American "we" that includes our religious extremists, the "hooked on reality TV" crowd, and all the Kool-Aid drinkers.

WE, on the other hand, the DU "we", will keep screaming RAPE!
