About those FEMA / Red Cross debit cards
I work in the banking industry, and it hit me this morning....

Whoever issues debit cards to the survivors has access to all the purchasing reocords. They can see exactly what they purchased, when, where, and how much it cost.

1. Can these cards be cashed in
instead of being used for direct purchases? That would stick it to Big Brother.

2. I had heard....
And I am not so sure that this is true....

I heard that the survivors were not allowed to purchase booze or tabacco with the cards.

If it is true...

What UTTER BULLSHIT!!!

4. The one I saw last night was CitiBank
they own about 20% of the debit card market.

CNN showed a 'sample' card, but the actual ones may not be from CitiBank.
