Just curious.

Is it because this is all the 24 hour news your cable service offers?

Because you are keeping up with the Right Wing propaganda?

Because you like a particular progarm?

I've been watching MSNBC for all my NOLA/Katrina coverage and I haven't seen or heard any of the offensive local bashing crap that I have been hearing about on the other 24 hour networks.

1. I don't have cable/satellite (almost a year now)
but when I did, it was good to catch video coverage of a breaking event. Otherwise, I'm better off getting normal news off the internets.

2. I watch 70% CNN, 25% MSRNC, 5% FOX
For basic coverage, I watch CNN, I watch some shows on MSRNC (Obermann, Tweety, Scarboro seems to be turning) and I watch FOX only if someone on DU posts to turn it on for something.

3. I haven't watched broadcast news for about year now until Katrina
Then I mostly watch MSNBC.
But I do sometimes flip to CNN (NEVER FAUX) on commercial break but only for a few moments at a time.

5. i WATCH CNN
because in my 45 years in journalism, I spent several years as a reporter for CNN, while the net was still owned by Ted TYurner and was the predominant liberal voice in this country.
Now, with CNN under the Time Warner umbrella, and no longer liberal, I still watch but mostly out of habit.

as for watching FOX news.....you must be kidding. I might glance at them briefly to see how they handle a specific story but watch them? To watch them means to devote time to them and that I refuse to do. When I want opinion, I decide whose opinion I will listen to and when I was NEWS, Fox is the last place I would go.

I am retired now. I am about to turn 70 years old. And I find I am getting more and more of my news from online. The nets just dont cut it anymore.

6. I don't watch either
I want news not sound bites for GW and the republicans. Both Fox and CNN push the republican agenda to much for it to be called news, it seems to be more of an informertal for the republican aganda. BTW, I was posting on a local news channal forum but got banned for being too liberal, seems i pushed the administraters buttons on my anti- chirsten veiws, I made the mistake of saying theres no difference between muslum fanantics and chirsten fanantics and the admin was a born again catholic. I guess he didn't like my post about preists not dating alter boys for their brains.
