5. Really, Ms. Phillips?
Care to share your 2004 tax returns with us, just so we can verify your statement? Armstrong Williams initially denied receiving payola too, as I recall.

forgot to mention that people in the news media as well as many politicians in Congress and the White House are all on the payroll of corporate special interests.

20. Saw it--wasn't that something else........my jesuschrist
I couldn't believe how this anchor bimbo first took forever literally reading (they were feeding her material from the control booth)about how Scott McCellan (that fat face shit ass)said Pelosi was lying about what she said in the meeting with Bush and what he said. Pelosi said McCellan wasn't there. Isn't it unbelievable how these spineless turds just can't get enough of bad mouthing someone else to protect this criminal organization. But even worse is a media outlet reading this crap like "excuse me, but we just received a bulletin from God". I can see the media intends to help the loser bury this one like they helped him bury everything else.

26. You should NEVER, EVER be able to
ascertain the personal political leanings of a reporter from the way they do their reports. If you CAN tell - the person is NOT a news reporter, but a pundit or an editorialist - maybe just plain stupid.

I want a reporter who's willing to call anybody on their bullshit... not someone who's going to give his ideological buddies a pass.

27. Armstrong Williams used to appear on CNN regularly as a commentator,
and he WAS on the shrub payroll.

Columnist dropped by syndicate over Education Dept. payments
Williams got $240,000 in taxpayer funds to promote No Child Left Behind initiative

The Associated Press
Updated: 9:00 p.m. ET Jan. 10, 2005

CHICAGO - A conservative columnist has been dropped by a major syndication service because he accepted a payment from the Bush administration to promote the No Child Left Behind law and to give the education secretary media time.

Armstrong Williams, one of the nation’s leading black conservative voices, has acknowledged that a company he runs was paid $240,000 by the Education Department, and he called criticism of his relationship with the department “legitimate.”
...

The White House said Monday the case was an isolated incident, not a practice widely used by the administration.

...

Williams also hosts a radio show and appears regularly on CNN as a commentator. CNN said it would evaluate the situation, pointing out that Williams has no formal contract with the network.
