Is George Bush a liberal at heart?

http://wcco.com/topstories/topstories_story_259124625.html

...

Speaking at a national prayer service in Washington for victims of the storm, Bush said, “As we clear away the debris of a hurricane, let us also clear away the legacy of inequality.”

He’s speaking again of the impact the storm took on minorities and the poor in the region.

Bush said the effort to restore broken communities and disrupted lives is “now in our hands.” He says it’s not a burden, but instead an opportunity to do for fellow Americans what they would do for others.

4. He has a heart? Who knew?
No heart, no brain, no courage. He's the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion all rolled into one. And something tells me his speechwriters aren't going to succeed in making him sound like he cares...they can give him the words to say, but the delivery is still going to be off.

5. No, its just that the GOP has been posing as liberals
and using liberal rhetoric and proposals in campaigns to make them look more user-friendly and more caring.

Too bad its all bullshit.

They talk about equality and big-tent philosophy, about helping others and provinding education and health care, but in practice they turn around and do the exact opposite.

The Republican Convention last year was particularly disgusting.

6. HELL No! His Cash Throwaway
is just a fratboy BINGE, a quick fix to make something GO AWAY. This is NOT an ONGOING, SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS program. What is he going to tell the NEXT disaster when we CAN'T throw money at it? And the NEXT one and the NEXT one?

Blah, blah, blah....
He talks and talks. You might get the idea he's had a major epiphany. And yet, what does he actually do? He appoints Rove as head of hurricane reconstruction. He doesn't mean anything he says. He hasn't learned one thing. He's only "taking responsibility" because some focus group determined that would go over well.
This man has no redeeming social value. He is no liberal.
I just hope that now a big majority can see through him and the republican party.

9. Let's face it, money has always solved his problems.
He doesn't have to think things through because he can always just throw money at a problem to make it magically disappear.

11. He's a politician at heart. Say anything, do anything, pay anything.
Combine that with some unscrupuloous advisors and his nascent boobism and we have a president.

18. I'd say libertine is a more accurate word.
Even if he's been a good boy lately, his past has been that of a libertine.
