Keith Olberman's Countdown--OMG
I checked to see if this was a dupe. It's hard for me to believe no one has this up yet.

Anyway, his last story was about possible repercussions of leaking Ms. Wilson's name. He had an former justice dept. official on who says he thinks Robert Novak can be prosecuted under the law, he thinks he belongs in jail, and he hopes he goes to prison. Olberman gave him plenty of time to argue his case, asking only is the person who leaked this a traitor or just really, really stupid, or is there some third alternative? The guy was so focused on Novak though that he just kept talking about how irresponsible it was of Novak to release Ms. Wilson's name, then later, after he found out she was sort of a super-spy, really covert, to release the name of her cover business.

I actually think this is another move by the intelligence dept in the chess game between the intelligence community and the anti-intelligence Regime. I think they're telescoping that they're going after Novak to loosen reporters lips about who contacted them.

Go get 'em guys.

1. Another guy on CNN who wrote a book on the CIA said the same thing.

3. Nailing Novak Is BAD

For at least a couple of reasons.

1. It's a distraction. They will hang him out to dry as a scapegoat.

2. They can use this to their advantage to set precedent. If reporters sources are no longer sacrosanct, the admin. can use this intimidation tactic as a tool to plug GOOD leaks.
