I took a quick look over at freerepublic and there was nary a single article about the indictments. It seems they are crossing their fingers and hoping it will all go away.

The only reason why you don't see anything now is because the mods over there keep removing any mention of the topics. Once the indictments are out, they won't be able to keep up and it will be discussed in TENS OF THOUSANDS of POSTS on their site. And my guess is, this time DISSENT will RULE.

5. They consider themselves warriors in a large culture war

in which case, they refuse to acknowledge anything negative about their own side. Honestly, I do believe they think this way - I've seen too many situations where the wingnuts become silent anytime there is anything that makes them look bad. They don't respond. . .they just pretend it isn't there because it might deflect them from their ultimate social/military goal of winning the "culture" war.

To me, this is just another example of why these people are so dangerous.
