Too much coffee and Fitzmas -- I'm sitting stunned and shaking --
and just have to vent. If the Daily News has this right, the little bastard knew!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=1860597&mesg_id=1860597

He knew, and he cared only that they bungled the treason, and got caught! Thoughts keep racing through my head: the Watergate tapes, obstruction of justice, what a failed, pitiful excuse for a man George W. Bush is, how he should be out of our White House tomorrow. Why it's left to the Daily News to find this smoking gun. Why Saddam Hussein is on my TV screen, live, continuous coverage, when the man who calls himself the POTUS has been complicit in treason.

I need to take a look at that Fitzmas coping list again, because my adrenaline is sky high, and my blood is boiling!

1. Honestly, it doesn't surprise me a bit.
The PoS has had his hands in everything up 'til now--why not this, too?

Slime. All of them. :grr:

2. '...complicit in treason.' Let's hope Fitz sees it the same way.
I hope you calm down, DMM. I'm learning to take it day by day, since there are so many things this admin has done that's set my bp into overdrive.

5. The stiches are being pulled apart by insiders who are pissed
at Bush. Like the cooks who spit in Bushies food...insiders are beginning to help the Cause for the Downfall.

8. Eat some protein and go for a walk. Burn off that nervous energy!
Then, stay off the sugar and empty starches for the rest of the day. Green leafy veggies are calming.

11. NO, be happy!
I'd throw a cheerful light on it, because if we KNOW he knew, and it's public knowledge he knew, seeing as he chastised Rove over it two years ago...oh thank goodness, now we can prove he KNEW! Imho, that's what took down Nixon, when the nation and the world knew HE was complicit.

This is what we needed, we needed it to go all the way to the top. That's what I figure. That's what did it last time. I'm hopeful about this.

No more blood boiling :) We already knew Bush was involved, we already knew he's dirty. It's not a shock to us.

But it will be a hell of a shock for some people in desperate need of shocking. It's a good thing. Chin up :)

29. Yea, But Nixon was "Tricky Dick" long before Watergate
He had a rep that easily allowed most people to figure that he did it long before it came out.

Bush is the "guy you want to have a beer with". But Bush lied about War, Nixon lied about Politics. Will the severity of Bush's lie (vs Nixon's) overcome the lead Bush has over Nixon in the likability part? Who knows?

12. Of course he knew.
How else could he assure us that "the leakers would probably never be caught?" unless he wanted it to be that way. The moment he said that, I knew he knew. Now, if Fitzgerald can prove it this nightmare is about over.

16. But what to do about it?
Rethugs hold the power in Congress now. They'll never be an impeachment inquiry with them sittin' there. Hell Ol'Georgie could be caught on tape getting a hummer from Harriet, and they'd still wouldn't "strike up the band and bring out the tar and feathers" like they did for Clinton.

No, sir-re, with them in control, this "dog and pony" show ain't goin' happen. Sad but true.

18. The pessimist in me agrees with you.
I watched (shame on me) about 10 minutes of Imus when he had Joe DiGenova on this morning. It was so pitiful and disgusting I can't even put into words my feelings. My question is, why isn't Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame Wilson fighting back against the slander and libel? We at DU can defend them all we want, but good is it doing?

20. Personally, Maccagirl....
I skipped Imus this AM because of Joe DiGenova (can't stand him or his wife).

I have heard the Wilson and his wife are planning on suing, but who knows how that will come out.

About the only hope I see is a massive changeover in the House and Senate next yr. But even then, by the time they get everything fixed and ready to go, there would be a year or less to get him out before the next election in 2008, a presidential year.

17. Good Catch As There Was A Cover Story Out Last Week...
that implied that Rove had lied to Bush saying he wasn't involved. I read the article but didn't get the key point that you did.

We are in a mess now, and just have to hope that justice will be done. Given the way things have gone so far, it's hard to have much confidence. But as Studs Terkel wrote "Hope dies last"...

Keep you chin up...

or involve him in much of anything. And that they might have made sure, in order to protect his saintly self, that he knew nothing about this crime.

As in "Deep Denial-ably", a clandestine term, and something Bush and his supporters are quite familiar with both on the job and in their lives.
