Off the table? What table. Does she mean his desk? I've seen pictures of his Crawford desk. It's bare. There's not a sheet of paper on that sucker. Given the president chose to put his Army into Iraq and now has it stuck in Iraq, isn't safe to say the president took that option and spent it 3 years ago. He no longer has any new options, because he has no flexibility in the use of his stretched military. Let's not even get into what options he has financially to fight another new war. Needless to say the file recession and economic collapse are sitting under new war in middle east. As are draft, social unrest, dropping approval rating... No I'd say that another war is not on the table and the rest of the world knows it. Which is why the Iraq war made us very unsafe.
Rice said the United States was using diplomatic means to urge a change in the behavior of both countries — but she stopped short of ruling out military force. "I'm not going to get into what the president's options might be," Rice said. "I don't think the president ever takes any of his options off the table concerning anything to do with military force."
Would you want a known liar not believed by 61% of her own people, that lied her country into a war of aggression, as your chief Diplomat. I wonder why diplomacy isn't working...
