2. AND...as Herbert Hoover inherited a Coolidge depression...
Both Hoover and Poppy Bush inherited their messes--each being in the administration that set things up for those economic catastrophes, of course :eyes: --and merely did little or nothing to stop their getting worse. Hence, each got saddled with the full brunt of the blame, and each took the fall for it in 1932 and 1992, respectively.

And, yep, in just 2 1/2 years, Dub inherited a $127 billion SURPLUS--and turned it into a $494 (counting the cost of the Iraq War) billion DEFICIT--by far the greatest deficit in history. Think about it, folks. That's close to HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS in the red! :mad:
