The Today Show has gone totally to the darkside. Ann Coulter will
be on to discuss the Leak Case! Yesterday Joe Scarborough was on, and remarkably he had a very neutral discussion about it. So today they are conjuring up the Coultergeist.........

1. We can only hope that Coulter will be as ridiculous as she always...
is and say something totally off the wall. She just can't resist trying to be outrageous for the attention.

26. Probably
Even though I think he is a total hack, I think the Today Show has gone WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY downhill since Bryant Gumbel left.

6. Matt is sucking up to her big time
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 06:19 AM by BeyondGeography
The ghost of Jack Welch is alive and well.

The best Ann can come up with is, if the indictments come down, "the Republican Party will be rid of a man named Scooter."

She also said the Republicans aren't trashing Fitzgerald the way Democrats did Ken Starr. When Matt countered that there really isn't anything negative you can say about him, she said, "Ken Starr is a boy scout."

A sad and useless segment. What were you thinking, NBC?

25. "Ken Starr is a boy scout"? Do you mean he scouts for boys?
Careful with those words, Dann/Mann/Ann.

7. Ok, the segment is over. She was remarkably not empassioned about
this and didn't seem to feel it was that important, and actually good if it got rid of a man named Scooter. She said Bush didn't need Rove because he isn't going for a third election. Lauer did ask her about the Dems gloating, and she said that the Dems made a field day out of attacking Ken Starr, who she called a boyscout.

Then Lauer asked her about the Miers nomination. Which she is against, and thinks Miers was the only mistake Bush ever made.

11. A field day attacking Ken Starr?
Starr would never have survived if the shoe was on the other foot, he'd have had a tragic "plane crash" or "had" a heart attack.

And who wouldn't attack Ken Starr? Pasty, sweaty little pudgy man obsessed with Bill Clinton's genitals.

12. Ken Starr a "boy scout?"
More like a child molesting scout master. Every day he was leaking information to the press (something that's illegal for a prosecutor to do, by the way). Fitzgerald hasn't leaked anything. But then, Fitzgerald is actually, you know, a real prosecutor with years of experience and qualifications behind him, while Starr was just an unprofessional, partisan hack with no experience or qualifications whatsoever.

Inquisition.

13. So so far they have had O'lielly, Scarbourgh, and Coulter on.
Have they had even one liberal or even moderate on about the Plame thing?

Coulter like O'Reilly said that this was something Americans don't care about. Only in the beltway blah, blah, blah.

16. So, apparently, they've had the "extreme left" represented by Joe
Scarebrow :eyes:, and, to balance, they now have the "moderate right" represented. By Mannthrax, no less. :silly:

19. She seems to verify that it'll be Scooter and Rove
I loved her bit about how Scooter and Rove are not really important and how they mean nothing to the White House--they're just employees.

21. They should have let Katie interview her
I'm sure she has an axe to grind, considering Ann referred to her as an "affable Eva Braun". When she wants to, Katie can do a great take-down interview, like she did to Bob Dole.
