Conservative Base finally tells spoiled brat Prez, "NO!"
Think there is a temper tantrum going on in the Oval Office? For once the holy rollers, skinheads, neo-nazis and supremacists have told their little poster boy prez that he can't have something that he wants and he is not used to not having his own way.

Hmmmm..as the song went...."This could be the start of something big!"

This about covers it all. She was not pre-approved by his handlers, he made a decision on his own and blew it. He was never meant to make his own decisions and they showed him who was really boss. For a minute there bush actually thought he was really the president!

4. Great background article on Salon, by Sidney Blumenthal
http://www.salon.com/opinion/blumenthal/2005/10/27/bush_fall/index.html

Gives a wonderful history of the BFEE and the far RW nutbase.
Lots of nuggets I didn't know before (who knew Prescott Bush was involved w/both the United Negro College Fund & Planned Parenthood?!)

Also gives a concise summary of the "true conservatives" that have been given the boot by Bushie Jr.

Has a great wrap-up at the end.

Another fine piece by Mr. Blumenthal!

6. So who is it that
Edited on Thu Oct-27-05 10:22 AM by Burning Water
we're against? Is it President Bush, or the extreme right-wing fundamentalist whack-jobs?? They didn't oppose Miers' nomination because she wasn't liberal enough. They won't support a Democrat because Bush let them down.

I admit: the schadenfreude against President Bush is gratifying to many. But it wouldn't be wise to lose sight of who the real enemy is. Bush is just a symptom, not the root problem of the progressive agenda.

8. Could you be thinking of Herman's Hermits
Hermans Hermits - I'm Into Something Good Lyrics

(Gerry Goffin / Carole King)
Woke up this mornin' feelin' fine
There's somethin' special on my mind
Last night I met a new girl in the neighbourhood, whoa yeah
Somethin' tells me I'm into something good
(Somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
She's the kind of girl who's not too shy
And I can tell I'm her kind of guy
She danced close to me like I hoped she would
(she danced with me like I hoped she would)
Somethin' tells me I'm into something good
(Somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
We only danced for a minute or two
But then she stuck close to me the whole night through
Can I be fallin' in love
She's everthing I've been dreamin' of
She's everthing I've been dreamin' of
I walked her home and she held my hand
I knew it couldn't be just a one-night stand
So I asked to see her next week and she told me I could
(I asked to see her and she told me I could)
Somethin' tells me I'm into something good
(Somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
(Somethin' tells me I'm into somethin', ahhh)
I walked her home and she held my hand
I knew it couldn't be just a one-night stand
So I asked to see her next week and she told me I could
(I asked to see her and she told me I could)
Somethin' tells me I'm into something good
(somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
Somethin' tells me I'm into something good
(somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
To something good, oh yeah, something good
(somethin' tells me I'm into somethin')
To something good, something good, something good
