Doctor's cannot prescribe Schedule 1 Narcotics so the proper term is recommend. Doctor's can recommend cannabis for any condition that it might help and since cannabis helps so many things, almost anyone should be able to qualify for a recommendation. Inflammation research is telling of the importance of controlling inflammation and indicating a true role for cannabis. You could claim it helps you relax which it all but has to help you relieve stress which is a point often made by Willy Nelson. Research this year says that when nerve cell A is shouting to nerve cell B, cannabis will send back the message to tone it down.
Cannabis can be recommended legitimately for alcoholism. And there are always the migraines, ulcerous colitus, Crohn's Disease, and IBM diseases that would qualify. There is a big question among the cannabis wonks about all use being medical. I am of the belief that all use is medical as there are benefits that come with use even if that use is recreational.
The FDA definition of medicine is anything that is better than a placebo. To show you how upside down all the prohibitionist propaganda is all you have to do is take their repeated repeated statement about "Marijuana has no medical value." It is the fact that it has tremendous medical value that makes it so opposed by the pill companies that are now engaged in what Richard Cowan calls the pharmaceuticalization of cannabis. Freedom, science, truth, and health be damned when there is money to be mined.
All the medical research has been blocked by the Schedule One Lie that says marijuana has no medical value. There are three conditions that are to be met for a schedule 1 classification and an arguement can be made that there are Schedule One Lies for the government position on all three requirements. If you follow cannabis policy/attitude you would have long understood how controlled the media is, because one of the things you will not be allowed to see is a discussion of the proper classification of cannabis. The question of proper classification is highly suppressed so there are not very many answers to furnish.
A political answer is to move it to Schedule 2 so that states could begin to do real research and implement true medpot policies. It is my belief that because of the past demonization most researchers would claim a Schedule 4 is proper, but I can see Schedule 5 as being intellectually sound. Either way, the government position is considered a lie to be defended with Hitler Big Lie tactics. People are suffering and dying all because of another government lie. And the worst part is that cannabis should have never been made illegal in the first place, much less still prohibited with federal hegemony in 2005.
