Why is Rove left twisting in the wind?
I believe this outcome was the best outcome possible, here's why!

Libby got the book thrown at him and is now in a position where he's gotta make a deal. They got the goods on him. Now...

Rove is left twisting in the wind. He can't quite attack the prosecutor, hence, bush's resigned speech kinda praising the prosecutor. Now..

I've heard people on here and the media outlets, etc. expressing their opinions that this case is about wrapped up. If that were so, why the hell is Rove still left twisting in the wind? I think the answer is clear.

Part one, Libby is over. Part two, the deal is not. Fitzgerald knows the identity of the plame leaker. And we know it's either Cheney or Rove. I believe nothing was accomplished in of itself today to catch a small fish for lying under oath. Again, why is Rove left twisting in the wind?

1. If he wasn't so clean, I'd say fitz was just enjoying himself.
But, in reality, the begging and pleading, and attempt to correct the record during his 4th visit resulted in this occuring. Remember, every time anyone left the grand Jury, they were seriously debriefed by the White House. Although it was unlikely to be precisely word for word, they had an super idea of every issue raised, and every point and fact made.

We actually should be happy with this. Libby is toast. Rove, still under suspicion, is not out of the woods. If Libby turns, points at Cheney and Rove, then the saga is only beginning.

I wonder how Libby will pay the anticipated $400,000 in legal fees for the up-coming year. If he buys the best defense that money can buy, it will be at least that much.

Goverment crime defense counsel eat up fees and costs faster than $15 hooker at a rural truck stop.

5. no, not the jurors; those appearing before it.
Even in my practice, we check out every detail when necessary. It would be inconceivable for the Bushistas NOT to debrief each and every person they could control.

Sorry if I was confusing.

3. Libby may not be over.
If there are conspiracy charges in the wings, Libby will catch some of that blast.
