He said this AM that AAR did not renew his contract which ends Nov 30..so he figures he is done that day.
He sounded very unhappy to be leaving the show.

I am very disappointed in AAR....and I guess Danny Goldberg specifically.

4. That's crazy!
What's up with this?

He's one of the best parts of AAR.

8. I agree. I got up earlier than I had to just to listen to the show.

He is funny and smart, and the chemistry with him and Mark Riley is excellent.
Not EVERY show has to be dead serious....

14. I dont really like Marc Maron.
Since Nov. 3, 2004 I haven't been able to listen to him. I'm thinking the world is on the verge of destruction if Kerry doesn't win and Marc Maron is just laughing and carrying on like its any other weekday.

3. That's "Marc Maron"
His contract with AAR is not being renewed.

Morning Sedition is going to be missed in this household. My morning coffee is not going to taste as good without it.

5. I'm not surprised.
Now that AAR has a syndication arm, they have access to the likes of Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann, and Stephanie Miller. There may be plans in the making to replace Morning Sedition with one of those shows. When Rachel Maddow's show was cancelled, I was hoping they'd add her to Morning Sedition and give it the gravitas it needs. Future Mark? Sammy the Stem Cell? No, I'm not surprised.

7. Maddow's being cancelled?
I listen to the last 10 minutes or so every morning on my commute. She hasn't mentioned it.

13. That doesn't mean that AAR wouldn't be interested in them.

ANYTHING can be negotiated, and now they have XM's backing. That's what I meant by "access."

11. Didn't Mark Marin reel off those horrible unfunny lists?
Don't like Sam Sedar, either.
I'm a fan of talk show hosts who work at learning the issues and disseminating good information, such as Thom Hartmann and Bernie Ward.

16. The Satellite Sisters are such a waste!!! When they left Sunday I thought
they were gone for good, and then they showed up on Saturday!!!

I have written many letters about what a waste of airtime they are!!!!
I cannot figure out what the hell they are doing on that station!

Edited on Tue Nov-01-05 08:48 PM by tinfoilinfor2005
like I did the other stuff on AAR. Just personal taste. But if they inspire other listeners, I will gladly petition for them. I know I would be pissed off if they took away Randi or Ed or some of my other favorites.
