Holy shit...troop suicides
Just heard on ABC WNT that at least five of the listed casualties are suspected suicides. They're trying to find out more but of course the Pentagon isn't cooperating.

Jesus I don't even know what to say to that. I can't even imagine the kind of despair the troops and families are going through. :(

My heart goes out to all of them...

4. West Coast catch WABC news
w/ Peter Jennings. Not only talks about troop moral and suicides thought to be around 5. They show the forged papers regarding Niger Uranium - anyone with half a brain could see they were forgeries. That's how shoddy they're made.

6. ABC News has been great
They've really been on the ball the last few days.

The Repukes wish this is going away but I have a strong feeling it won't. Not with our men and women in uniform killing themselves while the Chimp takes vacations and stands under a street light in red heels for the companies profiting from their deaths. People are slowly waking up I think.

14. yes!
I stopped watching broadcast/cable news a long time ago, but ABC may yet
convince me to come back to it. Their nightly news about a week ago was
as hard hitting as anything I've seen, reminded me of the nixon days (!)
I had to rub my eyes to be sure the cable company wasnt slipping in bbc news
or something like that by mistake. Peter Jennings must be trying to restore
some credibility to the network.

Another thought..does anyone think the stunning rise of internet politics
thx to Dean is making the networks a bit more honest?

5. I've heard thru military friends
That many of the non-combat deaths have been self-inflicted! Sad!!!

Just today on CNN they spoke to an Army NCO who plainly said:

A) It's the most hopeless feeling I've hever had

and

B) Many guys want to get wounded, just to go home!

Thanks George, enjoy your vacation, you #@%%^ @!$## #@^&&!!!!!!!

7. I Thought I Read Here A Couple Of Days Ago...
Aboout a female soldier shooting herself in the stomach, and winding up dead. Can't remember if it was an article, or a letter home from one of the troops???

Anybody else remember seeing that???

9. I'm rather suspicious of these "suspected suicides"
Remember that if a soldier is found to be "at fault" then their families won't get the insurance money($250,000) from SGLI. This is enough reason for me to question any "accident" or "suicide".

10. Suicide is Not Unusual
There were 4,000 suicides among soldiers in Vietnam. Combat is very stressful. Some guys fall apart.

13. I am around during Vietnam and didn't even think of that occurring.
Suicides...that is very sad.

Support our troops - Bring them home.

15. Of course Bush isn't bothered by any of this
because after all he is just and moral, untroubled by his conscience and always has been. Don't you know that? At least that's what his handlers always tell us.

Ok seriously though, these troops really believed that they were there to get to the WMD's. Now that its been proven a lie, they're angry.
