Is anyone watching the live bombing
of Iraq this morning. Described as Operation Steel curtain, they are enveloping more Iraqi citizens in clouds of bombs. When the fugg will these people be stopped. I saw it on CNN a while ago.

1. Never heard of Steel Curtain before
Right now they're talking about the Paris riots. We'll keep our eyes open.

2. Why did CNN decide to show live bombing? Why were they allowed...
to. Who comes up with the names for these operations, they make me sick.

3. "When one Klingon dies, a thousand Organians will be executed."
Said the Klingon commander in "Errand of Mercy". one of the best original Trek episodes out there given its multifaceted and thought-provoking nature.

Just what has the US become?

21. I watched "Mission Accomplished" last night....
It's a documentary by a brit who went into Iraq 8 months after Chimpy McFlightsuit declared it over.

The Iraqi's he interviewed said the same thing.

"one person shoots at them and they kill 100 innocents in retaliation"

4. This is near the Syrian border. Is this the edging into Syria
that we've all been expecting? One "stray" bomb will set off that expansion into Syria that Bushco has been itching for.

7. You're right
Or there will be the explanation that "they fired at us."

With his numbers tanking, the bird flu thing not flying, the Libby indictments, the Argentinian embarrassment, what else is left to do when no one pays attention to Red Alerts anymore?

Bomb Syria.

Of course.

5. So, now it's a media event,
the public execution of innocent civilians?

Great.

I trust we'll be watching televised executions in our prisons next.

Not even pay-per-view.

How kind. How gentle.

How I wish those military folks would stop what they're doing and tell their Commander-In-Chief that all of this is morally indefensible. How I wish.....

12. Charming stuff, isn't it?
:sarcasm:

The commentary was nastily informative: meeting "pockets of resistance" throughout the day . . . eight to ten (in a group, presumably) . . . "dying in place"

Dying in place.
