RNC defends Dick Cheney from "out of touch" Harry Reid
I'm not so sure the "out of touch" thing is going to work in defense of Mr. 19%.

http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=56401

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Republican National Committee (RNC) Communications Director Brian Jones responded to Sen. Harry Reid's out-of-touch attack on Vice President Cheney with the following statement:

"Harry Reid's vicious and out of touch attack today highlights why he is a leader of the country's minority party. The American people respond to leaders who are interested in solving problems, not politicians who are on the lookout for black helicopters. Democrats should focus on finding an agenda, instead of the far- flung conspiracy theory of the day."

1. Amazing--he repeated every stale RW talking point that was
beaten to death after Reid pulled the Senate into Defcon 3.

2. "Out of Touch"
After yesterday, an inappropriate phrase for the RNC or any repuke to use, except when referring to themselves.

6. Yeah, those repugs, hard headed realists all,
After ignoring an actual far flung conspiracy until it attacked us, it then postulated a conspiracy with Iraq that didn't exist, then engaged in a systematic effort to convince of WMD that didn't exist.

And Reid notices this, and HE'S delusional. Go figure.

10. 79% of Americans believe the Libby indictment is serious
an absolutely astounding figure, imo. And a nightmarish one for the GOP whose only hope is that there's a grain of truth in their "no one cares" propaganda. Which there's not.

They're the delusional ones, not Harry Reid and us.

Four in five, 79 percent, said the indictment of former Cheney aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby on perjury and other charges is important to the nation, according to a poll by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.

7. The American people respond to leaders ...
... who are interested in solving problems ...

Exactly. The problems being: outsourcing of jobs, a lousy economy, a health care system that doesn't work, the country's tarnished image world-wide, the disaster in Iraq, the deficit, tax cuts that favour the wealthy, an over-extended military, the decline in education, corporate 'welfare' for already bloated corporations ...

The list goes on and on.

The American people respond to leaders who will SOLVE the problems created by this Administration -- and they did so last night.

9. Hey, Dick...have a pork chop and a relaxing pack of smokes
And that's about the nicest thing I could possibly bring myself to say to Dick Cheney.

I don't expect that I'll ever have the opportunity to urinate on his grave. More's the pity.
