22 House Republicans lead revolt against Arctic drilling
I hope this is true!!!!

22 House Republicans lead revolt against Arctic drilling

The Washington Post is moving this story for Thursday's paper, which comes on the heels of a story in Wednesday's paper that essentially said proponents of drilling in ANWR were on the verge of victory.

But wait! It seems that 22 House Republicans have vowed to vote no on the sweeping budget bill if Arctic drilling is left in it. So the question now is whether the House leadership will be able to twist enough arms and offer enough payoffs to get the necessary votes, a task made harder without The Hammer.

5. The Hammer is still there. He will break every law necessary to pass this
The fact that his official title has changed does not change DeLay's capacity or power to exercise his criminal and corrupt powers. The only thing that will give any renegade republicans the strength to resist the dark and evil influence of DeLay is the firm belief that voting as he orders will lead to their defeat. And even that will not prevent all of them from bowing before DeLay's evil exercise of his power. Some will sell out for the promise of profitable lobbying jobs if they are defeated at the polls.

6. How many ways can you spell 2006 election? I think that we are
finally going to see some moderates speak out.

There has been a "fear" in Washington. March lock step, or you're out. Now marching lock step in many moderate districts looks like a sure path to defeat. Not every Republican is from a wingnut district.
