Are we ready for 06?
"It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect
his country from its government."
Thomas Paine

We won out last night, so do you think the party is finally organized to start winning some elections?

1. We need to get

2. not yet
but we're getting there. The one thing Dems can't do is just sit by and think we can simply allow the Repubs to go down in flames and we'll win elections regardless. We need an agenda, cohesiveness and to fight off the inevitable dirty attacks that are set to come our way.

6. Hooray for the CBC.
And John C. Conyers Jr, Congress critter par excellence from my home town, the Motor City!!! Love Detroit. Love Conyers. Love the CBC, the most resposible and spinefull group of Congress critters in the country.

4. This Is Just One Step
From a dark deep hole the Democratic party has found itself in. To expect the Repugnicans to simply roll over and implode and for Democrats to win by default is the biggest loss for both Democrats and this country.

While the results last night were a sight for sore eyes, it's the first positive in a long string of negatives and there's still no game plan in place that shows moderates and independents why Democrats will be better for this country other than "they're not Repugnicans".

We're one year from the first big objective...everything before it is just the preliminaries.

7. I can't wait to volunteer my time
I'll be hitting the phones, the streets, doing what it takes and putting in the "hard work" that Bush loves so much.
