Watching the replay of Maher. What the fuck is with this guy? I avoid MSNBC like the plague, but figured some of you that watched it with more frequency could let me know--

Why is he so vigilant in bringing up Reagan? Then comparing it to Bush?

He's just not making any sense to me--sounds like a crazy man!

:wtf:

1. Murder rots the mind
Back when Faux was chasing Gary Condit around, a beautiful young woman who happened to be a staffer for Scarborough turned up dead in his office. The circumstances were less than clear.

Shortly thereafter, he decided to leave Congress.

3. He just comes off as an obnoxious,
loudmouthed, windbag! He's talking over people, being a total jack ass. He's so vehement--

Sorry, I had to get that out.

I recall the Gary Condit situation. It seemed to just disappear after 9/11. Was the girl linked to Scarborough? I thought they were linking her to Condit?

7. Joe Scarborough (R-Dead Intern)
the fact that you don't know says it all; her name was Lori Klausutis

10. That's her
Can't remember the Condit girl's name either. Nor the missing girl in Aruba. At a loss for the name of the girl who was kidnapped by the weirdo Mormons, too. There's a missing former beauty queen whose name escapes me, as well.

It's not INsensitivity. It's DEsensitivity. And it's an intentional act by the media.

But yeah. Laurie Klausutis. And the ME who did the autopsy had been de-licensed in Missouri and had specious Fla creds, as well.

11. Skittles--
thank you for the link. I'm just sitting here, shocked. I don't know why--I shouldn't be. But I am. I can't believe I didn't hear about this before now, then again, I don't think I had internet access then.

This part blows me away--

--snip--
A young female employee of one of Florida's Congressmen had died unexpectedly in the Congressman's office. There were no witnesses to her death and the cause of death was not apparent. Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce.

This kind of thing doesn't happen everyday. Why was there no more investigation into this. That poor woman's family. Then they start in w/suicide?! Give me a break!

I have about people like him--they are dangerous.

Whether he was involved somehow in her death or not, he and those around him have behaved like he was. He had the ability to make the problem, go away in a sense. OJ without the trial and the dna evidence (in a way).

I remember, at the time it was Condit/Levy 24x7 - a truly disgusting spectacle; this woman Lori was worthy of no mentiion on the "liberal" media whatsoever - it took 9/11 to get that garbage story off the map

9. Different girl
While they were looking for Chandra Levy and blaming Gary Condit for her disappearance, a different woman was found dead in Joe Scarborough's office in Florida, weeks after he had announced he was seeking a divorce and leaving Congress to spend more time with his family (Yes, the family he was divorcing).

Lari Klausutis was a 28 year old marathon runner, and the coroner claimed there were no visible signs of trauma to the body. The press reported she had a history of siezures and bad health. After a couple of weeks, her family denied that she had any siezures, and Scarborough began blasting the press for reporting unsubstantiated rumors. This was the local press, since the national press ignored it. You know how they hate reporting baseless rumors about missing women and US Congresspeople?

So finally the coroner releases a cause of death. She had a heart aryhthmia which caused her to blank out, falling and striking her head on the side of a desk hard enough to cause her brain to slosh against the opposite side of her skull, causing her to die. When asked how that would leave no visible signs of trauma, the coroner said, "She had an obvious blow to the head, but we covered that up because we didn't want reporters asking a lot of questions." He didn't define "we" but I'll bet you can guess. So a 5'6" woman fainted, causing her head to fall less than three feet and strike a desk hard enough to dash her brains out, basically.

Oh yeah, two more cute details. First, the local media, when pressed, admitted that Scarborough himself had been the source of the siezure story, and the coroner had previously had his license revoked in another state for falsifying autopsy reports--specifically concerning head injuries.

It's actually all worse than that, but that's the summary. Scarborough was in DC at the time of the "accident" in Florida. Interestingly, so was the woman's husband.

So at the very least, Scarborough, along with the medical examiner and chief of police, lied about a dead woman with a violent blow to her head to prevent a murder investigation, when it could have been murder. He obstructed justice to protect his own reputation. At worst--you can guess.

12. Oh.my.gawd.
After everything they put clinton through--this is insane. That poor woman. Her family. They know she didn't have seizures. It sounds like the panicked and did a very sloppy coverup job.

How horrible.

After that, he's not some loudmouthed pundit, talking head for msnbc? What a crock!

18. To be honest, I'm not sure he killed her.
I'm not even sure she was murdered. And sadly, there's a lot of distortion by some on our side to make it sound more like a murder than the facts warrant.

The two things that disgust me are the media's lack of attention to the case, when they were obviously blasting at Gary Condit, and before that Bill Clinton, on the most insubstantial of rumors, and Scarborough's efforts to make sure no one suspected him, even before anyone could have known whether it was an accident or murder.

But he may have had her killed, or someone else may have murdered her and gotten away with it because of Scarborough's need to protect himself. We won't know because of the corruption of the local officials, who blatantly lied and don't even feel they were wrong to do so. Would they have covered up the cause of her death if she were found in a dark alley where the local drifters hang out?

For the record, last I heard her family believed the autopsy and wanted the matter to die.

26. I understand
your feeling that way. There's not enough to go on either way. But it still shocks and disgusts me, especially given the way things were handled over Clinton and Condit.

It's very disturbing. All the points you make are valid. Who can know now. But where do those guys get off hiding things as they did before anyone could get to the truth...it's awful and tragic.

She was a human being--not some publicity snafu, to be noegotiated or hidden. :wtf:

The Pres. of Ireland said (in a very nice way, I thought) that she didn't want to be critical of our country or our policies. Maher kind of prodded her to share her thoughts.

The way Scarborough just barrelled over her very timid attempts to interject... He looked like a atypical, bullying asshole. Sorry, I just can't think of another way to say it--asshole sums it up for me. LOL!
