after Evolution, will they demand Intel. Design in Math, History, English?
since they demand that creationism be taught alongside evolution to balance it all out, why not attack the other subjects, chemistry, social studies, etc. couldn't you also apply intelligent design to all these disciplines too?

sound too far fetched for ya'? give em' time and they'll infiltrate every segment and section of our society and demand that their intelligent design principles be applied.

perhaps biblical history will soon be taught as absolute fact and all other history will be redone and stamped with intelligent design to balance out all the non christian history. see where it's all going?

fuck this intelligent design bullshit, and stop it from being forced down our kid's throats, before it takes over the nation like a cancer.

1. If Earth was designed: how come we got flaws?
Its a Lemon for gods sake....

we should get a new model or a refund....

This here Earth got too many bad shit...stuphs like:

Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Volcanos, Bees, Wasps, those Box Jelly Fish fatal in 15 minutes, Sharks, Bird Shit from the sky,

Then we got Human Flaws too: Mostly found on the Republican Side of the Fence...clinging to deception, distortion, delusion, and Ignorance....

Last: we got Mega Lousy Individuals making it up the Political ladder.

How God designed the Earth with THAT FLAW is beyond me. Look at Bush.

When he came through the production line...somebody dropped the dude
cause he ain't intellegent for shit....

Implement the LEMON LAW...we want our bucks back....

and god gave america to the white folks for their own, and they smited all those who stood in their way for his glory. non believers were placed in unfortunate parts of the world, and the true believers shall inherit the earth.

11. Dissenting voices are fine...
just not state sponsored religious indoctrination disguised as a new type of non-scientific science.

Hey, they may as well teach the Flat Earth theory as well, just to be fair.

16. There is nobody who claims that evolution is merely random.
That is a misconception perpetuated by people who don't really understand evolutionary theory. The mutations that are the raw material of evolution are random, but the selection is non-random. It wouldn't be selection if it were random.

To say that something occurs by natural means is not the same thing as saying that it is random. For example, there is nobody who argues against a naturalistic explanation for the organization of water molecules in a snowflake, even though they are highly ordered giving rise to very complex and beautiful forms. In much the same way, the selection that gives rise to different biological forms is non-random.

Particular mutations are selected for by particular environmental parameters, so that some genetic configurations are favored over others. This is a VERY different phenomenon from genetic drift which is a change in gene frequency that is largely random, and is not thought to be a major factor in Darwinian evolution.

I do not discount the possibility that a higher power could have some hand in evolutionary change, but it seems to me that it is largely untestable and therefore belongs more to the province of philosophy than science. If someone can come up with some genuine testable hypotheses that could provide some sort of empirical evidence for ID, then I think that should be explored scientifically, but I haven't seen any evidence for it so far. What I have seen is mostly politically and religiously motivated people playing semantic games with the words of scientists in order to try to manipulate people who do not have a good understanding of science into accepting their political agenda. I find that unconscionable, and believe that it is no way to choose a science curriculum for public schools.

If you are interested in learning more about the real facts of evolutionary theory, I would strongly recommend that you check out this site. http://www.talkorigins.org/

12. I think they already have designs on geology and astronomy
and probably other sciences too. It's logical thinking and reasoning (as opposed to simply saying "God did it") that threatens them so much.

13. ID is a whimsical notion. There is no substance from which a
curriculum could be constructed. The validity of Evolution is omnipresent and will survive in the minds of objective people.

Fundies were attacking it from the pulpit and if you read between the lines, their main objection was that it forced you to think.

18. Let's see...
1) For Math, since God is perfect there are no discontinuous functions, and Pi=3 just like the bible says.

2) For Chemistry, well, Alchemy works better. This one I'm kind of torn on, I mean, Alchemists, the ones that were remotely honest at least, created and used many useful substances(Gunpowder, Greek Fire), and were the forefathers of modern Chemistry.

3) For History, well the Dark Ages didn't happen, and the Crusades were fought against savage heathens that invented that demonic system of Algebra(see number 1).

4) For English, the language Jesus spoke, Aramaic was a demonic language of those heathen furriners. Also, Huge is to be spelled HUGH, Moron to be spelled as Moran. Grammar to be abolished completely, who needs it?

5) For Astronomy, those are God's tears up there!!!! They don't like astrology, remember that.
