C-SPAN Torture discussion
Wow. That is all I can say. I can not believe someone who is anti-torture would have to come on television and actually DEFEND his stance against it and the stance that it is wrong!

Wow.
Ive I have officially had my dose of ignorance from callers on the program to last me a good week. Someone actually called in saying 'bash their heads in' and saying 'its a war!'. I swear, I dont know how the people at c-span, or their guests, are able to keep straight faces during such blatent hatred and ignorance.

I wish i could get in on their line, explain to the man who said that not to come to me for help if someone invades the U.S. and rapes n tortures his family since hes all for it.

man
ive never in my whole short 24 exsistance ever heard such hatred for fellow man.
christians, HA! yeah right.

1. I just turned it on. I think we have the Spanish Christians calling
Really makes you think before you say a thing about the Right Wing Crazy people. Like Bataan Death March or something. What rock do these people who want to hurt so many come out from under?

2. Did you hear this next to the last woman? What a freak
In her world, "torture" has a very, lets say, limited definition. I am certainly glad I am not her child, and I do hope that she does not have children or pets. I am sure she doesn't "abuse" them either.

4. What gets me is how the sheepikins forget
that when daddy shrub went after the Iraq army they were throwing down their weapons and giving up without firing a shot. Under jr. shrub they prefer to blow themselves up before surrendering to be tortured. BTW, wasn't torture one of shrub jr's reasons for taken the evil Saddam out? Seems sheepikins have short attention spans.

5. Torture? What the hell happened to "truth serum"?
Please notice their complete avoidance of the fact that the initial assumption they insist on, that torture was a necessary "tool", is also a lie. Just another lie. We need to stop letting them get away with the lie. It's been a foregone conclusion all along, and it shouldn't be.

We have drugs, techniques, and highly trained professionals to extract information. Experts in this area have said this. It wasn't torture for information, because had it been, they wouldn't have USED torture.

It was torture for some other reason. Doesn't matter what the other reason was. Torture wasn't necessary for information, and in fact, was the worst thing to do in that environment.

Leave them with no excuse at all.

6. Sick buggers
They can excuse anything and everything as long as it happens to "those" people.
One nutcase said that we should kill as many as possible and all you have to do is check out the missing Trade Towers. Still believing that Iraq dropped the towers.
I'm against torture, but some of these sick bastards may be deserving of a little bagging and electricity.
