Oil CEOS --Would you have made greater profits without the hurricanes?

Question posed by Sen. Gordon Smith at hearing yesterday. They didn't know how to answer that one, but 90% of the public does.

1. I don't know if anyone remembers, but

gas started to go up before the hurricanes. When I went to visit my sister in late Aug, gas was already up to $2.69 a gallon.

and damage to oil rigs and refineries.
