Can civil or criminal complaints be filed against "Heckuva Job" Brownie...
for wrongful death by the family members of victims of Katrina?

Just wondering?

Seems like he has it coming, if they can do so.

1. Probably not
Sovereign immunity would likely preempt any claims against him.

3. Does S.I. give him complete or limited immunity?

4. It's practically "complete"
Unless somebody can prove in court that their legal rights were violated (under the Federal Tort Claims Act) - or unless the federal government has waived its immunity (fat chance!).

5. It would be nice if they could.
Just think of all those elderly people, who struggled as the waters rose....and they drowned.

Damn that idiot Brown. And then think of how FEMA billed the state of Louisiana for I think $3 billion. And for what?

In the meantime, "Brownie" has been collecting his $143,000 pay for a bit longer. Like a tapeworm, he's hard to get rid of. And then in the hearings, Brownie acts defensive and blames everybody else. What a clown.

I can think of a lot more appropriate things to do with this man.
