In recent years they use it to justify Fox News' position in the cable news market, 9/11 of course, state marriage amendments, having to occasionally put up with opposing opinions, "partial birth" abortions, really, a "hunker down" mentality.

When the political opposition wins, their "values voting" will seem to fail and they will see it as close to The End. Infact, any disillusion they are feeling now with the Bush Administration, they will bring up The Second Coming, as I witnessed when I recently lurked on Rapture Ready.

I've heard the same thing in '92, when Clinton was elected. IMHO, I don't think Clinton was all that Liberal. The belief that they might not be around for too long, makes them motivated to seize as much political gains that they can. Political fall-out won't surprise too many Fundies.
