Cnn reported Rpugs say they don't have the votes to pass budget!
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 04:16 PM by napi21
You know, the one Shrub wants!!

Ed Henry just reported this was new a few minutes ago. He also said that since DeLay is out of the leadership, they're haveing trouble getting the votes they need. It's a bad reflection on DeLay's replacement!

Even Wolff said "Pubs used to be all together as one, but now they're really divided!"

HA HA HA

1. They are falling apart without
Rove, Lott, and Delay to lead them and Abramoff to fund them.

4. Also a Developing Story on Raw Story

http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Republican_leadership_in_House_finds_they_1110.html

"Democrats are 100 percent unified" against the bill, she said. "It creates another $20 billion in deficits and they’re not going to find any Democrats who support that."

It’s not clear exactly what the next step is. The Republican leadership is expected to rewrite the bill and bring it to the floor again next week.

Already, GOP leaders took out provisions that would have opened the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. At the time of this writing, it was unclear what specific provisions individual Republican members were opposing.

The Washington Post wrote today, "Republicans concede they are well short of the votes needed to pass a bill that would require longer work hours to qualify for welfare, allow states to impose new costs on Medicaid beneficiaries, cut assistance for child support enforcement, trim student loan spending, cut back agriculture supports, and curb eligibility for food stamps."

"They are a long way away from getting the votes," Rep. Ray LaHood (R-IL) told the Post. "Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps, whatever -- for every person, there's an issue."

((Me: if you can't stand all the pop-ups and pop-unders from Raw Story, just go to it's cache by typing this into your browser: www.rawstory.com.nyud.net:8090)) Works for other sites as well, such as Drudge or Malkin, when you don't want to give them the hit, but want to see what is on their itty bitty minds.

5. How bad is the budget they want to pass?
For average Americans of course.
