Anyone else getting nervous?
And I don't mean a good nervous anticipation, as if DimSon were about to get tossed, but a nervous feeling about all the recent Bush-Bull-Shit and the Dems slamming him, and others coming to Bush'* defense and even starting their new PR campaign to resell this nasty war? He sounds like he's ramping up the troops for either another invasion or martial law. And then the stories about his drinking and getting paranoid about his closest advisers?

Sorrry to be rambling, but it feels like a gathering storm.

6. They think another terrorist attack will have a "rally around...
the flag" effect like the last one did. I think it will have the opposite effect. I dare them! It will be the last thing they do!

21. I think so too
My dad in the past this year used the "we haven't been attacked yet since 9/11". I just replied "not yet anyways." I didn't want to get into 9/11 consperiacy theories. Heh. But when my Bush supporting Grandma starts to turn on him than you know you're losing it. So many times Bush has said "we're fighting them over there so we don't have to here" nonsense and what Cheney said last year "if you don't vote for the right person you'll get attacked again (wink wink, nudge nudge)."

9. a little
But it isn't Bush I'm worried about, it's an attack on the USA by terrorists.

Ok, maybe CIA or other sectret agencies have foiled a bunch of attacks, but it's surprising to me there haven't been any more here since Sept. 11. It seems to me that either the terrorists are deliberately avoiding targeting the U.S.{for some unknown reason} or the intelligence community really has gotten it together and are batting 1000%.

10. I'm worries about a terrorist attack on America by Bush!
I'm MUCH more concerned that * will try to buoy his political fortunes by orchestrating a "terrorist" attack on American soil.

Shades of 9/11 anyone? We progressives will be back to square one if and when this occurs. Or, God willing, the sheeple will see it for what it is and realize that even if it was "A-rabs", America is FAR less safe than was the case in the pre-Bush era.

Somehow, I doubt the plausibility of the latter scenario. How unfortunate.

13. It's something to keep an eye on BUT, I think it's designed to intimidate
us. Let's not fall for this crap - it's a final gasp at regaining the rule of fear that he loves so much. Unless he initiates martial law, I think we're gonna be just fine...

23. The thing that is also weird
Edited on Tue Nov-15-05 07:24 PM by FreedomAngel82
is we haven't had another warning either. The alert hasn't been raised since election day so this shows me that they did it all on purpose. Wouldn't they need to keep up the lies about the terror alerts? I think if they were going to do another attack again they wouldn't tell anyone and no warnings and it would happen out of nowhere like 9/11. Funny thing is on 9/11 I didn't cry or anything. It was like dejavu or something. It was like "oh so it finally happened." Like deep inside of me I was waiting for it to happen but I wasn't political back than at all. I only learned about PNAC last year and it did make me so scared I felt like peeing in my panties.

14. now that it is to bush, laura, mama, condi and karen, i am not
nearly as concerned with bush ability to take the u.s. down

seems like what we have been hearing, bush is peeing his pants and the women in his life are just helping him make it thru. he would need the other dudes, cheney, rove, rummy and others do anything. other than putting the bottle to his lips

16. It shows that Bush isn't going to go down without a fight
If we thought that Bush/Rove were going to roll over, we were sorely mistaken. The difference this time is that there seems to be some Democrats with some backbone. There also is some evidence that the MSM won't automatically do what Bush wants them to do.

17. Tomorrow Never Knows

Turn off your mind relax and float
down-stream
It is not dying, it is not dying,
lay down all thought surrender to the
void;
it is shining, it is shining.
That you may see the meaning of within,
it is speaking, it is speaking.
That love is all and love is ev'ryone,
it is knowing, it is knowing.
When ignorance and haste may mourn
the dead,
it is believing, it is believing.
But listen to the color of your dreams,
it is not living, it is not livin.
Or play the game existence to the end.
Of the beginning, of the beginning.
Of the beginning, of the beginning.
--John Lennon

No. No fear.

I'm sure we'll hear how the Syrian leaders are personally training Al-Qaida soldiers and sending them with a nice box lunch to Baghdad.

24. What I want to know is, with his record and now it seems he
is having a nervous breakdown, why isn't Congress demanding that he be removed from office because he is no longer able to discharge his duties? This has been apparent for a long time. This provision in the Constitution should have been activated after the Hurricane Katrina mess. Also Cheney should be removed as well. With his delicate health, he should not be in a position of authority any more.

27. OP here. I think I'm also nervous about potential for civil war here.
I'm not ready to go buy a gun, but there is so much hateful freeper talk that is violent, like "leave or die" in our typical LTTEs, that I am concerned that when Bush finally is taken down, the terrorism will come from within, not Al Qaeda. I'm in south Texas. I can see how some freeps will blame Dems for Bush's insanity and murderous rampages, and I'm afraid that once the shots are fired, it'll continue for awhile.
