7. Apparently some right-wing bunch of musical jerks
decided they had to put together a song to help out their pal the Prez...so they came up with and recorded a little ditty titled "Bush Was Right" (which sounds like a really bad imitation of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire") and they intend to make a video and get it on MTV as a "test" of MTV's political fairness.

Their video isn't done yet, but the Countdown staff put together a bit of equally pathetic-looking video to suggest what such a thing might look like. And it was just as bad as the music.

When the camera returned to Keith, he did a spit-take and said, essentially, that if MTV doesn't play the video when it's finally made, it will be because the song is so bad--nothing else.

14. I remember that song
How lame and pathetic was that song! There is another rightwing song where some guy who is like an Alice Cooper wannabe singing some rock ballad about America and shows firemen and police and things like that and is filmed at a beach location. Does anybody remember that one?

4. Green Day watch out!
Keith did an ok job for a quick music video for a really lame song. They (the right brothers) are pushing MTV to show the video they haven't made yet. Maybe they'll show Keith's version!

I'm sure MTV is getting on that one. :sarcasm: Wmd's found in Iraq and a link to Saddam and Al-Quaeda? *snort* LOL I loved Keith's response. LOL oh yes look out Backstreet Boys and beware Toby Keith. Just another reason why I love Keith.

5. Now that was funny! Anyone think Billy Joel has grounds for a lawsuit?
They want to get it played on MTV.

They didn't have their own video yet but KO and his gang were kind enough to supply them with one. A greatest hits of Shrub pix. I couldn't stop laughing.

18. Hopefully now he will
If they are using the same type of music as Mr. Joel and everything is the same except the lyrics I think he might have a case because they're still copying him. Typical of rightwingers. Steal others work and claim it as your own. Can't they come up with anything original? The "left" has some really great original music I've heard online all the way from Eminem to various indie bands. They didn't have to copy anybody else.

Syria gone

Kennedy: wrong
(Cindy) Sheehan: wrong

Zell Miller : right!

KO spews coffee.............

10. The song says WMDs were found, Bin-Laden & Saddam were connected,
and I don't know what other proven LIES.

"Bush was right!" it says.

Defies all logic and known truth. Typical Repukes.

15. They Are *Still* Trotting Out Those Lies?
MTV shouldn't play it, just because it's a stupid song & has no connection to reality.

20. That's what Keith was saying at the end
How sucky they are. Not because of political purposes. Of course they'll claim other wise. :eyes: I wonder if Bush will give these guys medal of freedoms now. :eyes: Of course as typical rightwingers they have to bring up Teddy. I love how after all these years he's still a threat to them.

22. Well, the geetar-playing part
was the Countdown staff's video, which I think was deliberately bad...but it went with the badness of the song.
