Seemed like a good night to remind everyone
Then there was Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz's prediction last spring that Iraqi oil revenues would pay all the costs of reconstructing the country.

http://www.cato.org/dailys/04-21-04.html

Why are the Dems not reminding everyone about this? The $20Billion mentioned in the article is obviously dated and a joke. It's now over $250 Billion. THEY are raping the US Treasury right in front of our faces.

3. It Is An Excellent Line, Sir
It demonstrates feckless incompetence, and opens appeal to people on grounds of "all that money being spent on Ieaqis instead of us, and lots of it being stolen too" that might move some who would be impervious to arguments based on the invasion and occupation being a criminal wrong.

4. The US Taxpayer Money earmarked to pay the costs of reconstructing
the country didn't pay the costs of reconstructing the country, either.

Instead - to the tune of $9 Billion or more- it "plum varnisheed".

Whoops.

10. Remember Dom DeLouise as the roman emperor in
"History of the World Part One"?

"Treasure Bath!... Treasure Bath!!! Treasure Bath!!!"

I suspect it was something like that.

7. I remember and remind everyone not only was the war going to pay
for itself,it was going to be a cakewalk with the soldiers being bombarded with flower petals.

A war based on lies,an unnecessary war that was totally ill planned by a bunch of chicken-hawks who thought this war, this chaos, was like a game of chess..you move a platoon here,a bomb squad there and checkmate. They did not listen to the countless generals,ME experts, intel experts because they are ideological idiots,so mired in their own delusions of world domination that they cannot and will not see reality.

They live in a fucked up version of Disneyland.Loons all of them,if the events over the last 5 years were written as fiction,no one would buy the book because the story would be too preposterous.
