You ever hear of a "Charlton Heston" Republican? A "Ted Nugent" one?
How about a "Robert Duvall" or "Ron Silver" Republican?

Or is Michael Moore the only personality in the entertainment business with his own political party?

What the fuck is a "Michael Moore" Democrat?

3. A Democrat who fights back
They don't like that.

People who use that term are basically cowards who don't want any discussion of 'uncomfortable' issues.

6. Better yet: How about "SpongeDob", "Patwa" and "Tinky-Winky-Jerry"?
There are PLENTY of those zealot types like Dobson, Robertson and Falwell in control of the Rapturist Right wing of the Republican party. How come they aren't labeled?

7. Maybe we should start using "Ted Nugent" Republican
And associate it with an extreme case of chickenhawkism where you're a war supporter, but you'll do anything - like live in your own excrement for a week - to get out of military service.

9. Ah, Charletan Heston, my favorite RBKA extremist
Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 10:25 AM by billbuckhead
Charletan has such a way of turning white reactionary males into victims. Catch this riff from the master.

"Rank-and-file Americans wake up every morning, increasingly bewildered and confused at why their views make them lesser citizens. After enough breakfast-table TV promos hyping tattooed sex-slaves on the next Rikki Lake show, enough gun-glutted movies and tabloid talk shows, enough revisionist history books and prime-time ridicule of religion, enough of the TV anchor who cocks her pretty head, clucks her tongue and sighs about guns causing crime and finally the message gets through: Heaven help the God-fearing, law-abiding, Caucasian, middle class, Protestant, or—even worse—Evangelical Christian, Midwest, or Southern, or—even worse—rural, apparently straight, or—even worse—admittedly heterosexual, gun-owning or—even worse—NRA-card-carrying, average working stiff, or—even worse—male working stiff, because not only don't you count, you're a downright obstacle to social progress. Your tax dollars may be just as delightfully green as you hand them over, but your voice requires a lower decibel level, your opinion is less enlightened, your media access is insignificant, and frankly mister, you need to wake up, wise up and learn a little something about your new America...in fact, why don't you just sit down and shut up?"

When he called on Wes Clark to disavow MM's accusation. In so doing, PJ brought the topic into mainstream dialog. Bless his soul.

16. Well, I see "Charleton Heston is my president" bumper stickers here and
there around my own little corner of gun-nut country.

I guess a "Charleton Heston" repug or a "Ted Nugent" repug would be ones who are armed to the teeth, so they can say, "If you don't like how we're doing things, we'll blow your head off."

24. Nugent should be the poster dork for the repugs...
what a frickin joke. Makin a livin playing to miniscule crowds of gun totin' murricans. His ridiculous posturing, (literal and figurative), insipid guitar antics show him to be a washed up has been. "Cat Scratch Fever" being the anthem that will surely be listed among the worst songs of all time.

It's hilarious, but sadly I think he's insane enough that he would actually vote for it as well. O.o
