Murtha, a Dem congresscritter from PA, who was a war hawk, but who is a 27 year Marine, decorated, and who Cheney once said was his best ally on national defense issues, came out in a very strong interview saying that we have to withdraw troops from IraqNam in six months. He said we were lied into the war and that it was a disaster and that it was destroying the military.

It was a very very very potent interview.

McClellan said Murtha was talking like Michael Moore.

Strong words ensue.

kill people for doing exactly what you would do if your Country was Invaded. The Troops are in severe psychological Danger. I mean this is the stuff of which Psychosis is made.

Murtha, a respected leader in Congress(35+ years), who is a veteran of Korea and Vietnam called for withdralover 6 months from Iraq. Cheney used the same language on him that he has used to describe Kerry and others. Kerry has issued a statement condemning the "swift-boating" of Murtha.
