Bush given a warning at the Apec meeting by P.M. Paul Martin of Canada.

I don't know how many of you have heard about the softwood lumber dispute between Canada and the U.S.A...The Americans are charging an illegal duty on softwood lumber and refuse to comply with the terms of NAFTA....Canada has had several rulings by the arbitration board of NAFTA, which is made up of an equal amount of Canadians and Americans...The decisions in Canada's favour have been unanimous, by all members of the board....Martin spoke to Bush in South Korea and spoke out in front of the other world leaders who were there....I'm sure Bushie wouldn't be too happy about being spoken to in this manner....It does my heart good to see this...I've been wondering when Martin was going to get tough.
Here's the link:
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you can see a video...(It says "Martin chides Bush")

1. Yes, I know about the softwood lumber dispute
I'm letting my money talk for me-I voted to purchase two saunas built in Canada by a Canadian company for the non profit health foundation I volunteer for.

2. Oh, Canada
Speak truth and reality to Bush.

He needs to hear it. Over and over.

His inner cabal of cronies only tells him what they know he wants to hear: Everyone thinks you are a fabulous guy doing a heckuva job. What an Ace.

3. Of course Bush has no shame; just rage at being dissed
I LOVE it that he was criticized in front of other leaders.

Ohhhhhh, Canada, indeed. I would love to live there - I've suggested the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania secede.

7. Good! But I want him to go even further and publicly state
that bush's breach of the NAFTA agreement puts the US access to fair prices in purchasing our oil, gas and electricity is in grave jeopardy. That is the only position that might cause the bush admin to do something other than shrug dismissively, imo.

8. I agree.....but
The thing that kind of impressed me, was that Martin had the nerve to say to Bush, in front of the other leaders, that the U.S.A. should not expect other countries to want free trade agreements with them if they didn't comply with the rules....I wonder if anyone else has ever talked to Bush like that in front of others?....I would loved to have seen it!

9. LOL, I, too, would have loved to be a fly on the wall when
Martin said what he said, if only to see the reactions of the other leaders. bush would smirk inappropriately, as usual, I have little doubt, POS that he is.
