How do you like McGlaughlin Group ?
I ask you-- Democratic Underground.

On a scale of one to ten--

one being, I find McGlaughlin an uninformed pompous waste of airtime to...ten , metaphysical certitude that he is one of the most provacative, issue oriented and balanced airing moderators of needed facts weekly and I can't wait to turn him on.

The answer is 10 !! Bah bye.

1. Wouldn't miss it for anything. Been with it since the beginning..
I'm liking it a lot more now that McLaughlin turned on dubya after he invaded Iraq.

3. WRONG!
He cracks me up. It's like watching a sitcom and listening to some debate at the same time. Unfortunately I can never remember when it is on and rarely see it.

4. Very funny and informative and fast-paced. Only one gripe--
how can anyone call McLaughlin a "moderator?" Nothing moderate about him, which is what makes the show so much fun.

5. I would have said 1 a year ago but now,
I find myself to be frighteningly agreeing with most of his views on what's happening. Yikes. Not to mention Patrick Buchanan is making sense suddenly too.

This show used to give me hives and it would annoy me no end when he wouldn't let Eleanor finish her thought or get a word in edge-wise.

I say 10. I missed this week but I have watched the last ten in a row at least.

7. Love him and I've
loved them all for years -- even all those years I only agreed with Ms. Clift and Mr. Germond. 10! Metaphysical certitude!

Funniest McLaughlin moment NOT on SNL:

On the panel, Mort Kondracke and Mort Zuckerman.

McLaughlin: Morton to the left of me! Morton to the right of me! I'm Mortified!

Also, the fact that I find myself agreeing with Pat Buchanan shows me how f'd up things are!

Bye, Bye!

12. Eleanor really slaps down that
British blowbag sometimes don't she? He cuts her off and her voice goes up about three octaves until he shuts his pie hole and lets her finish.

15. She finally got up the guts
It's taken forever. Sometimes she'd look to Jack to save her. Sometimes Mort Kondracke agreed, but they used to keep her down.

You go, girl!

He is so full of himself, that Tony Blankley. And his suits wrestle for attention with McLaughlin's.

24. I had a buddy
who used to like all that pundit crap, and when I was at his place (we did business together), he would insist on having these shows on, even though he knew that I hated them. (He was my buddy, and I cut my buddies considerable slack. Besides, he was ill, and since deceased.)

From time to time, when channel-surfing, I stumble across such shows. If the mood strikes me, I check out maybe 30 seconds or so, to see if all the rudeness and inanity persists. And it does, as far as I have determined.

(I wouldn't call this "watching", watching is what I do with, say, the Simpsons, where I try to make a point of catching the show -- and where I watch it from end to end -- minus, of course, the little that I might miss due to muting commercials or switching channels when these appear -- and if it doesn't suck.)

Adequate answer?

14. McLaughlin
is a pompous ass but I love the show. I was talking to someone about this last night; the group is more insightful than any other pundit show on television. Even Blankley has his moments.

17. Predictions
John McLaughlin: Happy Thanksgiving. Gobble, gobble!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eleanor Clift: Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, the standard- bearer for social conservatives on Capitol Hill, will be defeated in his bid for re-election to the Senate next year.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tony Blankley: Rick Santorum, currently 15 to 20 percent down, has got a tremendous campaign. He traditionally runs from behind. And he's going to look a lot stronger by about Christmas to Easter than he does now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pat Buchanan: Scooter will not be the last indictee.

http://www.mclaughlin.com/predictions/predictions.asp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jay Carney: We're going to see in the next several weeks and months a big debate in Washington over the use of the military to spy domestically.

18. Right. Santorum will look much stronger
and I can run the New York marathon on stilts. Ha ha haha

He's going to lose so big he'll be lucky if he don't lose by more than he's down now. Blankley is so stupid he'd put an ashtray on a motorcycle.

26. I love the McLaughlin Group.
It's broadcast here in Chicago at 6:30 pm every Saturday evening.

Mr. Wonderful and myself watch it every time we can and we always end up f*ing off Tony Blankley.

I almost pissed myself when Mr. Brit made his prediction last Saturday about Santorum. He really doesn't get it does he..

I'm still waiting for Eleanor Clift to get up and slap Blankley silly one of these days. It's coming, wait for it!!!
