"The conventional wisdom seems to be otherwise. The punditry seem to agree that, as more and more leaks about Plame from multiple administration officials to multiple reporter are revealed, it gets harder and harder to tell who leaked first. The confusion weakens the prosecution's case against Libby -- or anybody else he might indict. Nobody will be indicted for violating the statute that prohibits revealing the names of covert CIA agents because Plame plainly was not covert."

Is this what the republicans game plane is? I don't think Fitz will fall for it!

1. It's purely a load of crap
If anything it's going in the opposite direction.

2. Yeah. . .throw enough shit against the wall, some is bound to stick
Yet, all the bullcrap and run-around will kill them soon enough. Fitz is going to nail them.

3. Sounds to me like it's more and more likely
the WH was involved with this.

Compare it to a robbery. If there is only ONE witness, the prosecution has a weak case. But if there are MULTIPLE witnesses, it may complicate the prosecution, but also makes a conviction more likely.

4. It's not about who leaked first
It's about who all lied about it to a FRIGGIN GRAND JURY! IT's called perjury and obstruction of justice.

IT would be a hoot if there turned out to be no underlying crime but these idiots lied their asses off for no apparent reason. Maybe they leid because that's just what they do - lie. They don't know how to behave otherwise.

Still I do think there's something else going on here. Why lie for nothing? Why risk jail time for nothing? Something stinks and Fitzgerald smells it.
