Freeptards having heart attacks over Duke Cunningham:
From American Conservative forum:

"Nancy Pelosi, that fascist Democrap b**tch, may relish and masterbate over the downfall of Randy Cunningham but for her to so salivate the stupid loss of such an American hero is sickening.

Yeah, Randy did wrong but I didn't see that s**ut Pelosi sitting in an F-4 Phantom jet over Vietnam blasting communist migs into black spots in the ground. I didn't see Ted Kennedy flighting the controls of a wounded Phantom rolling over and over in enemy territory, I didn't see Robert Byrd or Jessie Jackson slamming bombs into the Hyphong railway yards near Hanoi and none of these liberal cowardly a** wipes flew 100 missions against flak guns and SAM sites.

And oh yes.....Cunningham killed North Vietnam's top ace bastard who's rotten corpse is still sitting in some worthless rice patty!

Yeah Duke did wrong but nothing will change what I've thought about him through my Navy career or how much he influenced my life. Do your time Duke, repent, then come back to send these treason filled cowards to hell!
"

1. good. let them show their evil. they don't even stop to think about
how morally questionable some of those sorties in Vietnam really were as they go on and on with their military hardon.

Fact is this. If you supported Clinton getting impeached for lying about sex you better sit down and SHUT UP when a GOP member of congress is found guilty of accepting bribes for legislative favors.

Doesn't matter if you saved the baby Jesus himself. If you break the laws in this manner, you deserve to lose everything you built up including your reputation.

Anything else is just whining and an attempt to make excuses for and victims of the real criminals. Isn't that what the conservatives are constantly railing against?

Fucking hypocrites.

7. blame the leaders
People who serve their country don't have the luxury of questioning every order they're given. Like it or not, countries need some semblance of a military and part of that is serving when your country calls, without question. The majority of troops do it honorably and they shouldn't be criticized for it. Save your complaints for the politicians and the generals, where it belongs.

Good thing the Nazis were only following orders. Loyalty is more important than morality.

"little girl Nancy Pelosi" on the head and said "Don't you get yore pretty little head in a tizzy. Little girls will never be in fighter planes, as long as I live . . ."

Of course, back then, the conservatives didn't want women in the military in any way, shape or form.

Randy "rape the American People" did was sell out his constituents to big business in order to get profits selling an illegal war so America's young men and women could die in some desert so he could make a profit on his house while lying about his income. See it doesn't sound so bad when you put it that way does it? A government employee making illegal money while America's youth dies.

Damn Nancy Pelosi for trying to save our youth while right-wing public servants make money from illegal contracts, what could she be thinking. After all isn't getting into politics all about making tons of illegal money during war? The Bush family perfected it don't you know.

These freepers would hump the leg of a Republican like a Basset Hound on a lonely Saturday night even if they took out an Uzi in a shopping Mall on Christmas Eve. They are so blind, they can't even see the treason Duke has done to his district and the American people.

Come back and kick ass? Doesn't this freep realize that a felon can't run for office? Well unless you run for president and have someone "wash" your records.

13. It's another overt manifestation of the...
... militarism in the country today. Simply because someone served, they are therefore, somehow, some way, excused from excoriation due to extreme character flaws.

In terms of both cumulative money and incidents of bribery and tax evasion, this is one of the biggest bribery cases in the history of the House. This man was so brazen about his illegally-obtained funds that he was frequently depositing bribes in his Congressional credit union account. :wtf:

Rolls-Royces, condos, boats, multi-million dollar houses--all aided and abetted with bribes. And, at the same time, bawling on the House floor about the immorality of stem cell research.

It boggles the mind that anyone could defend that kind of corruption just because he flew a Navy fighter, but that's the culture of militarism talking, not the voice of reason.

20. Republicans think that way of...
... Republican vets. How many times do Democrats talk about military service of Democrats (albeit somewhat defensively)? What does military service have to do with good governance? Nothing that I can see.

That's my point about militarism in society. The military is afforded some special status in a society in which militarism is ingrained. Excusing egregiously bad behavior because the person was a military man is yet another symptom of militarism, period. That there's a political bias attached to it doesn't change what it is.

Cheers.

62. The other side of the coin, according to these psychotics, is that the
only kind of courage there is is the courage to kill. What about the courage NOT to kill? (Jesus is famous for it.) Or Rosa Parks' courage? Or the courage of a paraplegic veteran to run for Congress? Or the courage to resist peer pressure, or propaganda? Or the courage to teach difficult students? Or the courage to act on your principles--giving up a job or advancement because you are asked to do something wrong? Or the courage to reveal your soul in work of art?

It's like their minds have been fried by Bruce Willis movies!

Don't get me wrong. I like some Bruce Willis movies. "The Fifth Element" is his best. Do see it! It's mostly not about violence. (It's about a woman being God--and a great story!) And "Die Hard" was entertaining. But somehow that "Die Hard" mode--also portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, and others--of vengeance, of violent solutions, of the tough guy, armed to the teeth, bent upon putting things right--which may serve as a vent for the psyche in our de-natured lives (I think it does), has transformed, in certain peoples' heads, into a desire for their own expletive-driven, locker room, punch 'em in the mouth, or mow-'em-down-with-your-assault-rifle fantasies to be played out in reality, whether in Iraq, or in the political world here at home.

Bush, of course--who is probably LESS intelligent than these stupid Freepers (and couldn't even write the above rant)--encourages this adolescent attitude, and gives it a nasty bullying edge, that seems to release their worst thoughts. (Rush Limbaugh & Co. do that as well. I've been amazed at what I've heard on these rightwing radio shows--the nastiness of it, the filth of it. It's as if demons have been let loose in our land.)

And no rational thinking is possible in that mode. You can't reason with a Freeper stuck in that mode--with talk of Kerry's military courage, or Max Cleland's, or of OTHER kinds of courage. It's simply not possible to get them to understand how cowardly Bush actually is, or how cowardly and despicable it was to portray Max Cleland--who had left three limbs in Vietnam--as a "friend" of Osama bin Laden. Chambliss was unable to confront a real hero on equal terms, so he tried to tear him down, and told lies. The same with Bush/Rove and Kerry.

And you can't even get into the issue of the dishonor of recent U.S. wars--upwards of 2 million Southeast Asians slaughtered, and for what? Because, in the case of Vietnam, they had ELECTED a communist president? And what do the tens of thousands of innocents we've killed in Iraq--or the many people we've tortured--have to do with courage or honor or "defending" your country? THEY are defending THEIR countries--against our aggression!

But it doesn't seem to matter to them what a war is about, or whether it's right or honorable. Their minds are so shuttered; and focused on the carnage they enjoy thinking about. I'll bet money that few if any of the Freepers who write this stuff have actually been in combat. Soldiers and veterans don't talk this way, most of them. And the few who do are considered loonies, and can be dangerous to be around.

Almost without fail, fighter jocks respect other fighter jocks — even the enemy, particularly the aces. Assuming this part of the rant is even true (aside from the "still sitting in some worthless rice patty" part), I'm sure Cunningham would be proud he flamed the top NVA ace but would also respect him as a combat pilot.

"It was with great sadness I read about this today. And then I got pi$$ed. Why the hell did he do this? Greed. Pure unadulterated greed. And in doing so, he has set back the entire conservative movement. The demoscum will shout from the rooftops about the "culture of corruption" that is the Republican party. Damn. Damn. I don't care if he gets 10 years. Let it be an example to the next conservative icon who entertains thoughts of enriching themselves illegally. He has handed the demoscum a propaganda coup. Damn. Damn."

Surprising post considering it came from the owner of the forum, a complete wackjob who I seriously believe is actually a test robot programmed by the RNC's Computer Science (or is it Intelligent Computer Design?) department.

I mean, he could've downplayed it by throwing in some vitriol about evil DemoSCUM and their evil commie crimes. Which is exactly what another poster did a few posts down:

"Like Teddy the woman murderer Kennedy? Living proof that all the citizens of Massachusetts are in a perpetual state of mental retardation."

Cunningham lied, and took bribes and evaded his taxes. If Jesus did this it is still wrong and against the law. Frankly, this puts a question on his service in Viet Nam. How much was hype and how much is the truth. It's quite possible he took away some other pilots thunder and claimed it for himself. WHo can ever believe anything he says now.

I hope he gets 10 years.

BCCI which had paid off both Republican and Democratic money men.

But apparently by the Republican code of conduct, he is not a hero and retroactively was determined by Bob Dole to have not bled as Shrapnel entered his body, all because he legally and intelligently spoke out against the Vietnam War.

Cunningham actually attacked him, associating him with Jane Fonda, last year. Cunningham was a war hero, but Kerry has more honor, dignity and integrity than Cunningham could even have imagined.

50. I see they are capable of supporting at least one veteran.
They sure haven't shown their respect and support for other veterans like Kerry, McClelland, Murtha, etc.

He didn't see Pelosi sitting in "an F-4 Phantom jet over Vietnam blasting communist migs into black spots in the ground". Yeah and I didn't see Bush or Cheney doing it either.

What won't them freeps come up with next?

To all you illiterate freeper lurkers:

b**tch - What TWO letters are masked here? 'Bitch' only has five letters.
masterbate - You should know this one like the back of your hand (so to speak): it's 'masturbate'
s**ut - What TWO letters are masked here? 'Slut' only has four letters.
flighting - wtf?
Hyphong - 'Haiphong', genius.
rice patty - perhaps you mean 'rice paddy'

(Got the idea from a call I heard on Springer's Show yesterday. The guy who was subbing (Jay?) cornered some old fart who called him a Commie and he asked the caller when had he heard him mention Marxism or Stalinism or Lenin...All the guy could mumble was, "You're gettin' all elitist on me...")

59. Yeah! Vietnam war heroes are great!
Unless they're evil democrats like Kerry or Murtha, or ran against Bush like McCain! Then they're evil, treasonous Manchuriam psychos who should be shot!

Replace 'Pelosi', 'Kennedy', 'Byrd' and 'Jackson' with 'Jean Schmidt'.

Just a small dose of their own medicine back at them.

78. Duke, Duke, how could you have let us down like that?
Shooting Col. Toon down doesn't exempt you from the law.

But you know that, and you've admitted it. There's something in your favor, at least.

Unlike the Freep assholes, who would have you use your dogfighting as an excuse.

Thanks for letting the Freeps down.

Redstone

PS: Hey freep loser: 1) When was the last time YOU flew a Phantom? 2) It's Haiphong, not Hyphong. 3) Masturbate, not masterbate. This one, you should know. 4) Whose, not who's. 5) Bite me.
