Quite an admission, perhaps a Freudian slip, he may have been reminiscing back to the 80's in Afghanistan... or perhaps S. America... or any one of a number of other places we have dabbled in.

1. funny that -- wasn't general odom trying to tell nutsfeld

and crew the same thing -- our presense is what destabilizes -- our army, airforce and marines placed in the wrong country under circumstances like these keep creating teh conflict we are trying to get rid of. in short, used this way -- our armed forces do the country a disservice.
