2005 hurricanes blew records away; U.S. defends climate policy
It's official: 2005 hurricanes blew records away

A brutal and record-setting season of hurricanes that pounded the United States and devastated the lives of tens of thousands ends November 30, at least on paper. But as the season is supposed to be winding down, Tropical Storm Epsilon formed today over the central Atlantic Ocean. Including Epsilon, there have been 26 named storms this year, surpassing the record of 21 set in 1933.

U.S. defends climate policy

U.S. officials told a U.N. conference on climate change that their government was doing more than most to protect the earth's atmosphere.

2. Well, chalk it up to a "wait-and-see" attitude....
but give it another 5 years of this kind of pounding, and believe me the U.S. will change its tune.

Whoever the leaders are, they will be forced to take a look at our bad habit of using 25% of the world's natural resources. On a country that only has 3.8% of the world's population.
