In Less Than Two Weeks This War Will Be 1000 Days Old. Some Perspective.

By the 1000 day mark of WWII we had already liberated Italy, and France and were moving rapidly into Germany (Holland was weeks away from liberation as well by this time). The war was 7 months away from German surrender.

Did I mention that the Japanese were being driven back across the Pacific at the same time? They had been driven from Saipan. Their surrender was 11 months away.

By those standards this war is a miserable failure. We can't even properly secure one country.

We should get the hell out.

Did we turn out thousands of troops for WWII after Peril Harbor much quicker? Iraq had a standing army, plus these years of training...what's taking so long?

It sure seems slow to me. I said the other day that I could have been trained myself over here and then trained the 700 the pentagon says are fully combat ready in less time...out back of my house.

We are not making progress. We are going to stay the course until we have to flee the embassy in helicopters unless we rid ourselves of this psycho in the Oval. He makes it clear daily that the path to ending the war starts with ending his presidency.
