Message to L.A. DUers: You need to do something about Connie McCormack, a supposed Democrat and head of Los Angeles elections, pro-Diebold, led the rotten dirty campaign against Sec of State Kevin Shelley (because he sued Diebold's ass), best friends with former Diebold chief salesperson in Calif., Deborah Sieler (now ass't registrar for San Joaquin county). McCormack was a featured speaker at recent Beverly Hilton election theft industry event--a week of fun, sun and high end shopping for election officials from around the country, sponsored by Diebold, ES&s and Sequoia!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x380340We've got to address this at the state/local level, with election officials. They wield too much power over our elected representives, with electronic voting. They lord it over the peon voters and representatives alike, with all their esoteric, electronic gobble-de-gook. All kinds of corruption involved, big money deals, the $4 billion HAVA boondoggle, lavish lobbying, "revolving door" employment. We need to clean house. How could Democrats sell off our right to vote? It is a scandal, and McCormack's right in the middle of it.
It's no surprise that Republicans like having Bushite corporations counting all our votes with "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code. But Democrats? Are they insane? Well, I think not. I think they are, a) corrupt; or b) ignorant, uninformed; or c) afraid (of people like McCormack, of Bushites, and of people not voting if they find out what's going on, and don't really believe that people have a RIGHT to know that their votes have been turned into manipulable electrons and can be 'disappeared' by the thousands at the touch of a keyboard, leaving no trace.)
What McCormack did to Kevin Shelley, in service to Diebold, is unforgivable. Can she be gotten rid of? How is that position chosen? Elected? Appointed? Could a good voter rights candidate be fielded?
I wish I could be there to drink to the New American Revolution! I drink with you all at the Cat and the Fiddle in spirit! Go, DUers!
