Is it time to lobby XM to add another Democratic channel?
XM has had "America Right" playing against "Air America" for some time now. There are also some other radio talk shows carried on XM which are hardly "liberal" (Opie & Anthony and a few other Stern clone types)

Beginning Jan 2, XM will be carrying the FAUX News radio channel. The good news is this will finally get that wimp ass Alan Colmes out of Mike Malloy's time slot and finally cement the rightful Air America schedule in place. Bad news is this gives right wing radio a ridiculous advantage on XM, and in fairness they should add another Democratic Channel.

If they agreed to do so, who would you like to hear on this new channel?

Stephanie Miller is a name I hear mentioned here often. Tom Hartmann as well. Peter Werbe, who recently guest hosted Malloy's program might be a good choice.

Any other suggestions??

you have to move Ed Schultz off his channel (and he's wanting to go to 4 hours... soon)

a good lineup...

Bill Press - 3 hours
Stephanie Miller - 3 hours
Thom Hartmann - 3 hours
Ed Schultz - 3 hours (soon to be 4?)
Democracy Now (till Schultz goes to 4 hours)
Young Turks - 3 hours
Lionel - 3 hours
Bernie Ward - 3 hours (desperately wants to be syndicated)

there's you a solid TWENTY ONE HOUR LIVE SCHEDULE....

4. Well they do carry the BBC Wild Service.
If that's not fair and balanced I don't know what is. At least with them, wherever I am, I am at least with the BBC.

In any case it's not any loss because Fox News is already on XM and my guess is that the Fox News TV feed will be replaced with Fox News _RADIO_ feed. So we don't gain an additional right-leaning channel.

Certainly those names you mention are good ones. I think Tom Hartmann's been signed up by AAR anyway... and if/when Al Franken wins his Senate bid (if/when he runs) he might be planned to replace him?

Mark.

5. No.. the FAUX TV Feed will still be there...
FAUX NEWS TALK is a new channel.. it WILL collect some of the other people off other channels (Colmes for one), and add others..

I know it will have O'Leilly, Tony SnowJob, John Gibson, Colmes and Hannity
