Saddam was no threat to us
http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/wdhopinion/278919821141819.shtml

"EDITOR: I am writing this letter because I'm genuinely concerned for the well-being of the United States. My concern has been generated by the Bush administration, its war on terror and its Iraq policy.
Bush recently asked Congress for $87 billion to fund the war in Iraq. This would add to our $480 billion deficit. The requested money would otherwise be used for education, housing and other nondefense programs. Instead, it will be used to fund Bush's so-called "war on terror."
This also concerns me because it's not exactly a war on terror. Why would Bush lie to the American people? He does have a tendency to bend and distort the truth."...

This is an outstanding letter that appeared in our local paper yesterday. Extremely well written, short and to the point, doesn't get much better then this.

1. Seeing more and more letters like this in papers all over the country
Somewhere along the line, voices of dissent began going mainstream, granting permission for more to dissent. As more speak, even more will gain courage ro add their voices. The swelling of comments from the silent majority is a good sign.

The internet is a great force in the fight to keep Amerikan Media grounded in reality. It counters the hog swill press releases they have been accepting 'from highly placed sources' and passing off as news. More and more folks out there are getting info from broader sources. They are getting letters from troops in Iraq. They are starting to put the pieces together.

Keep up the great work, evilDUers!

3. this was written my a jr. in high school
I don't think the paper knows that or they usually put that under the name. It's like a disclaimer when minors write letters.
