What a day this has been -- I'm having trouble keeping track:
1. News came down that Pirro is dropping out of the race for senator in NY.
2. Abramoff is cutting a deal and is going to sing like a canary.
3. Once Rove is indicted (which it keeps looking more and more likely), Fitz isn't finished. He still has a lot to do.
4. The Dems managed to sustain the filibuster and defeat the defense bill with the ANWR attachment. (Although they didn't manage to defeat the budget bill, thanks to Cheney's tiebreaking vote.)

Lots more good news to come in the next few days, I hope.

1. Better buy more popcorn! And this is supposed to be a slow news time.
Whew!

9. I'm just afraid the holidays will put the skids on a bit
Maybe it's to our advantage that the actual holidays fall on weekends -- maybe it won't be any worse than a typical weeked for drowning out the news.

4. Even the budget reconciliation bill is good news
in a sad way, but this in implicit clarity, hangs this obvious intent to harm the poorest and reward the richest right around Bush and Cheney's neck. They can't even pass it off on the congress now because Cheney had to make the deciding vote.

That will crucify them in O6.

7. And they did manage to remove some items from it and
make it necessary for the House to come back to vote on it again. I guess that's a bit of a victory.

11. I agree. The GOP made it clear today
that they favor the wealthy and the middle class, seniors and poor can go screw themselves. Short term victory imo. It will come back to haunt them.

13. Shared sacrifice - Everyone has to deal with a big budget cut..
poor get medical care cut, middle class gets education cut, & have mores get taxes cut. Who says we are not in this all together. :)
