All Hell just broke loose in the House of Rep.
Thug cabal called cops on dems. for debating a bill in the house library that they were presented with after midnight. DId anyone see the whole thing, I tuned in at the very in. The motion to reconsider just passed. Tune into C-span. things are getting hot.

I came in just in time to see the end of it and see Nancy Pelosi and Charles Rangel's speeches at the press conference, some people missed the whole thing and at least the thread title will let then know SOMETHING happened, as slow as this board is running folks may not want to wait for 90+ posts to download on the other thread. I looked for a thread addressing this and didn't see one, before I posted this one.

I sure hope C-span rebroadcasts this mess. I have watched a few of there call-in shows where they have all democrats on the line and have to keep saying "we'd like to hear from some rebublicans." They were taking calls after the press conference, I wish they would go back to that, it was more interesting.

3. Fascism Redux
Take plurality power and stifle dissent, using police power at whim.
"Might makes right."
Lies flying like snowflakes in a snowstorm.
Unilateral heavy-handed legislation without discussion.

Bill Thomas is one of the 5 most arrogant and condescending autocrats in the House.
The Ways and Means Committee is historically both the most powerful and the most partisan of all House Committees.

6. As I understand it having tuned in while the press
conferences were going on (after the melee settled down) the repugs presented a bill to the dems after midnight last night that was 90 pages and 50 billion $ and wanted a vote today without it being read. The dems objected, asked for it to be read, and then went to the library to discuss it. The pugs called the cops on them to vacate the library, sounds like Texas Justice on the hill! The thread on C-span now has more info about what happened, if you're in the mood to wait for a long download. We need to get in touch with C-span and demand the whole thing be broadcast during prime-time for the people that missed it, I bet they will do it, they re-broadcast the hell out of the O'reilly vs. Franken match-up.

9. I'm not sure who is right here
Pete Stark did threaten the republicans and you really shouldn't be threatening people if your a congressman. The problem is that the republicans claim that they called the police to the committee room while the democrats said the police showed up in the library. Somebody is either lying or there is some sorty of misunderstanding.

10. he DIDN"T THREATEN ANYONE. F@CK their propaganda
he actually got laughter when he told the Repuke. "Make me stop reading this. I dare you." That's not a threat. These repukes should be held accountable by their OWN FRIGGIN constituents. They should ride them out on a rail and say "THIS AIN'T THE WAY WE RUN THINGS IN DEMOCRACY...head on over to CUBA or CHINA if you want a one-party system you ultra fat corrupt shit heads."

14. I can empathize. I probably wont get to see it either.
NOT ONE FREAKING WORD ABOUT IT ON ABC NEWS so far.. but two segments on Kobe Bryant.

Thanks for the link. I am excited that the dems are finally finding the backbones that they have had all along but haven't used. Wonder what the DLC will make of this?
